The plummeting attendances speak for themselves. The tactics seem to be to launch the ball and hope to pick up the pieces. The first part works like a dream.

Hopefully Ambrose can help organise the defence and provide some leadership. What worries me is Fell seems to favour a long ball game which we haven’t got the players for, as you could see when Nugent was stood next to one of Hebburn’s giant defenders. I thought Kai did well yesterday, he looked out on his feet at the end. Stephenson looks a really good prospect, not his fault that teams are finding a lot of space behind our wing backs. He did well to get up from a leg breaker of a tackle yesterday, should have been a straight red. Carlisle might release one of their youngsters now that Rudd/Birch/Devitt are in charge. Fitzpatrick as a left back/wing back which would help. I’ll be keeping an eye on Hebburn’s results and be cheering for whoever they’re playing.

Well playing 5 a side football didn't work last season did it? Personally I do not care how we play as long as we win. Winning is what this game is about. We didn't win yesterday but we did on Monday and we've done better over recent game. I have no effing idea what you whining fools actually want. Grainger left after spending some of the good will he had earned with the club. He isn't coming back, get over it.

The “5 a side football” that rankled with a section of our supporters, got us promoted and was often great to watch.
I accept that Grainger opted to move on and isn’t returning, I am also happy to admit that following his decision to leave, the wheels fell off and we desperately needed a new manager and a new direction.
I liked the way that the new manager came across in the close season and I was positive for the new campaign. I think the recruitment has been decent. I don’t mind a change in the style of play. There are different ways to be successful and I am open minded to what that looks like.
What that doesn’t look like is having a talented ball playing midfielder in Brad Hubbold, watching the ball go over his head all afternoon and spending most of the afternoon trying to win flick ons.
Nor is it watching Cieran Casson, who has the ability and physicality to boss the middle of the park sitting on the bench, whilst we employ three central defenders to do the job of two people. Leaving us effectively a man down in the midfield for 90 mins.
Football is a game of opinions, but in my opinion we have been poor in the 4 home games so far. I will be there on Saturday, I will be supporting my team. I hope we play well and I hope we win.

Has Fell always played three at the back, or is it down to us not being able to keep hold of any full backs? (I'm guessing it's out of choice, otherwise I suspect Greg McCaragher would still be here)

Are Reds flattering to deceive or punching above their weight ? Again failed to work their keeper over 90 minutes again ! More worryingly is the inability to create chances. I would be less concerned if they were making chances and missing them. Need to find a 15 goal a season forward asap.Strange that Fell was saying Jamie Allen is improving game by game but then leave him on the bench until last 15 mins. Budget Booster been used ? Allen was injured, he didn't want to use him except in an emergency, that's why he came on.
