I'm normally depressed on a Sunday when we have lost . . . but not today. According to Paul's excellent Live Scoreboard, Reds excelled yesterday and more than matched the runaway league leaders. That certainly bodes well for the future and I can now see us climbing the table and challenging for the Play-Offs. There will be real competition for places when the injured return, providing a welcome headache for the Gaffer. Am I right in thinking that all players are ours except for the Carlisle loanees? Great crowd yesterday, hopefully more of the same against Blyth next Saturday.

You're right though we still have 4 or 5 top lads to come back in plus Cass and Norris who were on the bench. Hoping Galloway isn't to bad like others have said he was superb and their goal wouldn't have happened if wasn't forced off. Unbelievable commitment from the lads, great to see and well done to the manager and his team for turning things round and coping with an horrendous injury crisis

Just watched Savage being interviewed on Macclesfield's Youtube. What a "Manchild" he is. Pathetic.

It is of course disappointing to come away from yesterday with no points, but it must be acknowledged that things are looking much, much better than a few weeks ago.
Credit to the manager. He seems to have found a better balance than at the start of the campaign. Everything that seemed so manic, seems to have calmed down a bit and he seems to have found a system and approach that better suits the players.
Credit also to the players. The young lads have been excellent. Nugent and Jamie Allen are cracking permanent additions and Rigg looks a class above.
Special mention though to the back four, who defended brilliantly. It is great to have Matty Clarke back and Josh Galloway keeps improving, but it is Efe Ambrose and Steven Swinglehurst who stood out for me. The improvement from a month ago is massive.
Play like that and we will win far more than we lose.

Probably the first time I've ever left borough Park after we have lost and been pleased with what I've seen. We matched them man to a man, everyone played their part. If we replicate that over the coming weeks I'm confident come the new year we will be pushing into or very close to the top 5.

Interview.
Whilst abuse at any level is unacceptable, regrettably it is all too prevalent in all walks of life; where were the stewards? Notwithstanding that, he needs to address and ask himself why he is the only manager in Non league Football to have a Minder! He needs to get his own house in order. Perhaps he gets what he deserves. Needs to grow a pair.
Two Macc. players in the bar afterwards when asked what he was like, just rolled their eyes and said "no comment"
Arrogance off the Richter scale; IQ not on any scale. Clearly mentally challenged.
Bizarre, incoherent, Rude, Impertinent, embarrassing.
Has he no shame - ME, ME, ME!!

Savage is what he is, ignoring him is more hurtful to his ego rather than abusing him. The Macc fans and players deserve better. ANyway forget this as we have to beat Blyth on Saturday to continue our progress.

I listened to Savage for a couple of minutes and that was enough. What a contrast to the interview given by the Reds manager.

A really good performance against a team of individuals who have made their own reputations at other N W non league clubs previously. Money and the chance of success draws such players to a club but Success is not guaranteed even at the next level. More importantly Reds are starting to see a level of consistency in their performances as the squad gels and the injured players return.
