The decision to end the season as null and void was made by the NPL. It’s become clear since that there was little or no consultation with the clubs. Therefore the blame lies squarely on the shoulders of the club representatives on the board of the NPL. The role of the FA was to rubber stamp the decision made by the NPL. I’m the last person to defend the clueless bunch at the FA but the anger expressed on this forum should be directed at the NPL ruling committee who should have considered allowing all clubs to vote on the decision rather simply accept, on trust, that the wishes of the clubs had been elicited. They are the ones who have sold us down the river. Exactly right Chris. The blame lies squarely with the spineless Mark Harris and his subservient lackeys on the NPL committee who are completely unfit for purpose.. Don't bother trying to email Harris either as he doesn't have the decency to reply. The same Mark Harris who couldn't be arsed to travel to Workington and presented the North West Division Club of the Month award for December at PRESCOT!

The npl voted for the points per game it was the southern clubs in tandem with the fa that voided the season. They dont give a fuck for the northern teams.

The NPL and the Southern League were in favour of PPG. The Isthmian League strongly in favour of Null and Void. The SL changed their mind and the NPL then meekly went along with them.

Actually it isn’t what you said but you’re right. Mark Harris and the NPL are blameless. It was all a plot against the NPL by two southern leagues and the FA to stop Workington being promoted!
Have you considered that even if Harris and Co had actually carried out their duties and taken a vote involving every club there was no certainty of the outcome?
Anyway I’m out. I’ll leave you to live in your own little world of conspiracy theories.

No conspiracy theories required. You blame the npl and i blame the london area based board members along with the fa. the blame rests on the npl in your opinion because they did not consult the clubs which i agree with. on 24 march the npl gave out a statement saying, the npl, isthmian and southern leagues are unanimous in wanting to terminate the 19/20 season immediately. whether that is due on the basis of determining the final placings via average points per game, or the season is declared null and void CANNOT be decided until the national leagues intentions are confirmed. Two days later on 26 march the FA statement says, National league system, The nls and the women football pyramid were able to build consensus amongst their leagues and where possible aimed to create a consistent approach across all leagues, whilst taking into account the unique characteristics of each individual league. As a result the FA and national league system steps 3 to 6 have reached a consensus that their 19/20 season will now be brought to an end and all results expunged. Why the hurry to come to voiding the leagues in 2 days something stinks.

Bit worried that it looks like Ian Evatt is being bought out of his Barrow contract by Bolton. Obvious and outstanding replacement just up the coast . . . .
Hopefully just me getting too pessimistic.

I mean that's a hell of a step up, would think that's just way too much of a risk for Barrow, they just need someone to with experience to keep them in L2.

Time will tell My understanding was that Barrowand Bolton had agreed compensation but Evatt had not discussed matters. Probably all depends 9n how finabncially stable Wanderers are now.

Danny Grainger 5/2 favorite on Sky Bet for the Barrow Job, probably based on geography, Paul Hornby didn’t seem that impressed when it was brought up to him on BBC RC earlier on. Let’s see, Keith Hill for me.
