As I understand it, crowds are currently limited. I think I read something about 75 tickets available for Reds fans at Knaresborough for FACPR. What will Boris' new 6 people rule mean for already limited crowds?

Knaresborough will be ok because rule of 6 starts Monday. That said Cambridge Utd Carlisle Utd wpilot with a crowd of 1000 has been pulled.
What u can be sure of with Boris , he has more U turns because of a lack of joined up thinking than oany other politician in history.
Dont panic Captain Mainwearing ! But gor those trying to run a business or a football club it must be a living nightmare

DCMS has confirmed that leagues below step 2 can carry on as planned for the time being. The six people rule is irrelevant to sports events which should follow their own social distancing and Covid protocols.

Interestingly here in Lancashire with the new restrictions coming in on Tuesday 22nd there is guidance advising peopke should not attend amatuer ir semi professional sport as a spectator .
Where this leaves non league football is anybodys guess if it applies o Mersyside and parts of Yorkshire just how can clubs operate with any certainty.

I'm very skeptical that this season will be allowed to continue past October. Or rather the rules will change allowing so few spectators in the ground that it will not be possible for clubs at the NPL level to survive.
Get down to BP and experience what might be the last chance to watch the reds for a long time.
I do hope I'm wrong.

You are right Finbar. Whilst at the moment in Lancashire the Government advice re Amateur and Semi Pro sport is to avoid watching that does not appear to be the same in Greater Manchester - Why ? It is virtually impossible to plan for the future of the season when by tomorrow the night the rules could change again. Its ok the Premier League pleading poverty at losing £700 Million but it is the grass root clubs like Reds Penrith Kendal who need but a fraction of that money to survive. Sadly football has not learnt from the initial shutdown and still pays millions in transfer fees and wages then expects somebody namely the taxpayer to bail them out.

I fear you might be right, the national league is issuing a statement tomorrow, if they don't start i can't see them starting at all. would that rule out promotion and relegation?

Sports Minister Huddleston confirmed that non-elite sports, including football below National Leagues North and South, will be able to continue allowing spectators.

Well you just couldn’t make it up when it comes to the authorities and non league football. Fans of National League North and South are NOT allowed to go to watch their teams play away from home at Lower league grounds even though home fans are allowed to attend. Crowds would be limited number wise as now.
Whatever is the science behind this I just couldnt start to understand. Do not tell me if you are a fan of a National League Club you are more likely to have and pass on the virus than a Northern Premier League club fan.
Off to shake my head, no wonder people to accept guidance from those in charge.
