Seems strange that Clitheroe are allowed to travel out of Tier 3 to Workington. I live in Lancashire and followed the advice so didn't go to Pontefract on Saturday.

So does that mean Clitheroe's allocation has gone back on sale for Reds fans? I'm sure they'd be snapped up pretty quickly

I worry that now we as a club have taken this step to bar tier 3 away fans, we may have set a precedent for other clubs to do the same against us in an almost tit for tat way.
If fans are following the risk assessment and measures put in place then travelling to different grounds shouldnt be an issue, as you shouldnt be anywhere near people from outside your group.
Our fantastic away support is one of the main defining points of this club, and itll be a shame for all concerned if this is the beginning of the end for it.

Reds have not taken the step to bar away fans, it is government regulations that people can not travel in or out of tier 3 areas. Teams traveling to organised sport can as long as they follow government rules.

City of Liverpool have stopped fans from traveling to their games if they are outside of Liverpool. Postcodes and address will be cheched. All indoor facilities will be closed in the ground ie bar etc

It is not a decision that Reds can influence , it is a Tier 3 requirement that fans font travel out or in to such areas which now covers most of the North West. With club finances under pressure no alcohol without a substantive meal unlikely at most Clubs , i believe any income from whatever source will be welcome by clubs

Living in a Tier 3 area I took the decision not to travel to Pontefract as I didn't want to risk any problems for other supporters, no matter how small the chance. I have already been told by Ossett that I shouldn't travel - not that I would - but exiled Reds fans outwith Cumbria living in very high risk areas like Lancashire, Liverpool & Greater Manchester - with South Yorkshire soon to be added - will not be able to lend their support to the team. Very frustrating, but as long as cases continue to rise again at the current alarming rate, then I can see the logic in it.
