To the surprise of absolutely no - one. Given the massive vote, no real option. But a completely avoidable shambles.

See you in August then ! Great forward planning by the FA committees but for all those Sponsors who keep the clubs finances ticking over in difficult times are hung out to dry.
Thank You FA

Think the FA wording cancels the actual league, but leaves it open for individual leagues to run mini competitions when restrictions allow, if a league want to. If all clubs in a league want to ( which tbf is doubtful ) say four pools of five with 2 semis and a final ? Participation completely optional for clubs. Nothing at stake of course, but could get things moving for a while in preparation for next season, and get some revenue in. But it also means expenses, so may not be a starter.

Given the way this season has been handled I can imagine the NPL organising an "It's a Knockout" competition with the players dressed up in giant heads. Remember when it came to Cockermouth?

Well, as the energetic, pro active NPL of Mark Harris have now ruled out running any sort of cup competition, it will be down to the clubs to do their work for them if there's to be any football.

FA have issued a guide for new competitions : toolstation.ncefl.org.uk/documents/Step%203%20to%206%20subsidiary%20Competitions%20-%20Published%2010%20Mar.pdfThey have also issued this statement, which isn't good news : "Spectators – unfortunately, the current understanding at DCMS is that spectators for non-elite football will be under the same categorisation as outlined for all spectators in the roadmap. Therefore, unless informed otherwise we believe all fixtures will need to be behind closed doors until no earlier than May 17th, except for any person(s) spectating for safeguarding purposes". Don't know what the world record is for the number of safeguarding officers in a non league football ground - could try for 500, all paying a tenner for the privilege ?
