An excellent performance by the Reds, who dominated from the first minute.
Atkinson handled well and distributed brilliantly, the defence looked solid and both full backs impressed going forward, the midfield competed and created and the front three offered a threat throughout.
City of Liverpool offered little, but we looked a class above them. It is such a shame that this group of players have not yet had the promotion that they deserve, but it could be a season to remember.
Special mention for Symington. If you were a scout at the game you would be scratching your head to wonder how a player like that was playing at this level. He is a very special talent and we are lucky to have him.

Reds were excellent. Fabulous game of football and a well deserved win against a very mediocre team. If Reds continue with this form then hopefully they will win the league and bring in the crowds. Wonder what Danny Grainger was doing at the game. I am surprised he had the brass neck to show his face after his very quick departure to Falkirk. Hope he wasn't looking at any of our players. Good luck on Saturday Reds against Marine which should prove to be a cracking cup tie.

What would Grainger learn in 90 mins that he didn't already know having managed 90% of them for nearly 2 years?
Anyway, great performance from reds. We do miniated largely on Saturday but this was almost for the full 90 mins. COL tried to play football to their credit but our press just stifled anything they tried to get going.
We seemed to play the ball on the floor more than Saturday but the BP pitch was far better the one at Kidsgrove so maybe the manager is a pragmatist on that front.
Clarke and Charlton really impressive, especially getting forward, we did really well in wide areas, Dav was a nightmare for them and Evangelinos is a handful and hard worker, looks to be rushing his finishing a bit but he's had 2/3 chances each match, once he finds his radar he will score a hatful.
He wasnt really the only one, thats all that let us down first half was that final finish or final ball was just a bit off, else we could have gone in at HT comfortable.
Tinnion a bit out of sorts in first half and on Saturday, gave the ball away with underhit or poor passes but hopefully just a slow start for him.
Only team not to concede a goal in first two games, good to see the defensive strength still there, and with Allison and Rigg in attack to come in things looking good

Its a remote camera, i think it basically works on ball tracking tech and has 2 cameras that can see the whole pitch You can use them to analyse performance www.veo.co/football-camera/Seemed it was getting a bit knocked by the wind though on this occasion. |
