Good on northeast red for complaining….any feedback?
Total joke surely it has to be the refs call? I hope disciplinary action is taken.
This is pro sport….why is it being used as an experiment? We have a club in Bootle who shouldn’t be at this level given their clear lack of professionalism - good side granted on the field - above their means in all likelihood - being bankrolled by the lease of their facility to other clubs. The league need to step in immediately and prevent this continuing..
I hope this doesn’t cost us come the end of the season….

I’ve sent an email to Mark Harris and am now awaiting a reply but as I said in my earlier post I’m not holding my breath! Other than next week Bootle have midweek games scheduled for the rest of the month so it looks like the fixture will now have to be played in April.

Expecting this will be 5th April looking at the available dates, Bootle without a game the Saturday after
Also they have decided to ground share next season with City of Liverpool, a great decision given their pitch couldnt handle 1 first team playing on it this season.

Probably a better time to play these now than the original fixture. Assuming it goes ahead.
Expecting a 4pm tweet tomorrow from them saying game off due to a Russian missile attack on Aintree.

I'll make my second attempt to attend this one. However my lad is back home this week so any cancellation will not be as easily brushed off by me. I want to see this bloody game.
Expect another post from me tomorrow saying that I wished I'd stayed at home.

Any confirmation that the game is definitely on?
Has anyone from Bootle looked at the pitch yet?
Or are they waiting until they know the plane from St Moritz carrying their right back has landed on time?
If they pull the same stunt again and call it off late afternoon, will any action be taken by the useless Harris and his blazer wearing crew?

Well after being missing for is it 3/4 games? the return of redray to the terraces brought with it the performance weve been waiting for from the reds Started really well and should have been ahead in first 10 mins but the ball just didnt fall for us. Balls into the box were really dangerous but rarely anyone in the right place or lucky bounce for Bootle. After 34 The ball did fall to Sam Smith from a corner and he fired home Needless sending off for Bootle for what looked like dissent just before half time and reds punished them immediately, a great turn in the box from Jerome and fired home though Keeper could have kept it out Only downside a Hamstring Injury to Kyle Harrison who looks like he will miss Saturday, he was replaced by Leslie who went to LB and Clarke went RB. 2nd Half, Dav made it 3-0 with unselfish play by Scotty squaring to him, his shot went in off a defender on the line Reds should have Scored more goals, Fenwick in particular blazing over when well placed and a good save from the keeper denying Dav. it was 4-0 late on when a great finish from Brad Carroll from 8 yard into far corner. Though in Truth Bootle looked like they had long given up. Good performance from Reds who absolutely dominated both against 11 and 10 men. Surface definitely helped, flat with the rain adding a nice zip. Clarke had a really good 2nd half turning into peak Cafu on the right hand side and Carroll was everywhere. Might be short at the back though saturday, not ideal against the league's top scorers. |
