Wullie Gibson is the new boss at Annan fc A sigh of relief from a few people. If Danny had got the job i think a few players would have followed him

Wullie Gibson briefly played for the Reds a few seasons back I recall before being offered a contract with Stranraer.
Regarding Annan Athletic I read on the Scottish Football Forum 'Pie & Bovril' that the Galabankies at an EGM have admitted they are facing very difficult financial challenges - despite being one of the best run clubs in the Scottish lower divisions. All the indications are Wullie Gibson will have an ever tighter budget for recruitment in 2024/25 - which may be good news for the Reds.

Yes he did remember him playing for us at skelmersdale and he was fantastic thought we'd got a real find but didn't last long think travelling and wages too much at the time. Annan play at a decent level maybe equivalent to the top teams in our division or lower end of conf north but like a lot of Scottish clubs rely on big financial help from the governing body(guessing around 80k a season) they also have a 4g which they can hire out Really it's little more than a village though get poor attendances and do seem to be punching well above their weight atm.

Just listened to Gibson appointment interview & he highlights that it will be difficult to keep the squad together because some of the squad have been "tapped up"

Galloway and Kai Nugent probably. But ya never know maybe a few fancy coming to the Reds🤞

Kyle Brownhill has left Lancaster & joined Stalybridge. Could he be the first on many to leave Lancaster this summer ? Would have thought our new manager would be casting his eye in their direction

Macclesfield already throwing money at it again. Signed Justin Johnson from Chorley. He was a top player in the National North so should be outstanding at NPL level. Really wish that lot had got promoted.

They've won fuck all yet. Expect things to change as the season develops. THEY are one under pressure.

Bobby Carroll has expanded the ex-Reds players at Bury in the NWCL. Looks like they mean business this season He will be a very good player in that League if he keeps fit That’s a huge drop of 2 divisions for a young gifted player, shows the money that’s knocking about in non league. They have signed some very good players hadn’t realised until now that ex Rylands and Macc boss Dave McNabb was in charge
