Are they backed by someone with a bit of money? Average gates of less than 400 but seem to pinch plenty off us. I know the main reason we lose lads is the travel, but you would think we could offer a bit of financial compensation to keep some of the better players we have lost. That said until now they had the upper hand in terms of level of football. Hope we finish above them next year 🤞

Some clubs do have other incomes like facilities they rent out too. Think gretna used to be funded mainly by the market many years ago. I think we have a decent 11 already. Would like to see a couple of bits of real quality added though. Probably need 1 or 2 forwards/wide players, Bobby Carrol re-signed or replaced and a couple of defenders. I think Riggy did excellent as a CB in those games but we could do with bringing someone in to compete and eventually replace an ageing Goose, or give Rigg a chance there and bring in a CM. Also need at least 1 FB. Maybe 1 each side. I'd have Kyle Harrison back if he was interested. I make it 14 signed on so probably add another 4-6 bodies? 2 or 3 of the young lads showing promise too to bolster the squad when we have injuries/suspensions

There was always a special atmosphere when Reds played Lancaster and Bamber Bridge in the 1990s. I remember one evening at the Giant Axe, which was Alan Cook's last game as manager, when Reds lost heavily. Bamber Bridge's stand at that time was nearly on the pitch. They had a huge centre forward, who we christened 'the plank' who didn't do much apart from win every header, especially from corners . . .

Carlisle City have re-signed their former winger Rob McCartney after two years in the Scottish Division Two with Annan Athletic. I thought McCartney would have wanted to trial for the reds same with Roan steele who also gone to city ,I've heard talk that Josh Dixon is training with Annan as well

Personaly dont think McCartney is up to npl premierlevel. Also Josh Dixon didn't really improve the team when here on loan.I think a run of games & an injury free spell may build his cofidence for the future but at the moment I couldn't see him getting in our team
