On Saturday afternoons R/C are going to be broadcast commentary from memorable matches from previous seasons. Which matches would you suggest? The two I would pick would be the Northwest Trains final match and the play-off match when Dabba got the extra time penalty. Bet they haven't kept either!

Either the Wimbledon game for me Or the Barrow FA Trophy win, worth skipping night class for! That was a great night. There were 33 Reds fans on the away end and I think we were the only people left in Holker Street at full time.

It was brilliant!! I was filling my car with petrol at the supermarket near the ground, after the match. I couldn’t stop laughing out loud, like a maniac! There was some social distancing displayed by the Barrovians.

For me it has to be the Warrington game back in 1994. They were on the brink of promotion and we were all but dead and buried and heading towards the North West Counties League.
We needed to win our last two games and this was the first one, away on a Tuesday evening.
We had a new signing from the North East from whom we were expecting great things . . . . but he didn't show up for the game so we started short on numbers and we're 2-0 down at halftime and facing a drubbing.
Rumour has it the Goole (our relegation rivals) chairman called Cantilever Road at half-time and hearing the score had an early night comforted by the thought that his team were safe for another year.
The second half was, for me, Reds greatest 45 minutes and typified the Workington spirit of although down, never quite out.
A Martin Henderson hat-trick and an inspired performance from Lee Copeland in goal saw us come out 3-2 winners. Warrington didn't get promotion and Goole got relegated after we beat Congelton Town 4-1 at Borough Park in our final game.
Radio Cumbria weren't at the game but there might be the interview with Wayne Harrison or Steve Durham from the following morning's Sport Desk.

Yes, we went to the Warrington game and what a great feeling to win. Sunroof got a hatrick and tere twas a punch up after the game when a Warrington player's got rather nasty which was hardly surprising given the result. We went home to Wigan very happy Reds supporters!
