www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52070349 Another story where ambition ii Football gas been shot down by the FA without proper consuderation to the implications. Everyone should sign the petition see Jeff S comment above and lets hope the F A Council think again next week and dont just nod it through. The idea of promotion only and increase th3 n7mber if clubs being relegated next season was a much fairer optio using the Points per game option. If Cricket can have ath3 D L mehod why not the F A

Who are the Committee representatives for NPL and on what basis were they guided in their decision to vite to anull the leagues. In the articleyou can slready see F A doing Pontius Pilot and wiping their hands of any responsibility. At the end of the day it comes down to My Club.
The only hope is that F A will have to rethink if it comes to th3 Premier League becayse they have the clout to walk away from the F A and leave them high and dry miney wise which is the key to everything. Can you hnrestly see the FA denying Liverpool ?

If you listen to the excellent NPL show on podcast released yesterday, they interview the NPL top guy and he said that the NPL voted for points per game but were outmuscled by the other leagues at the same level. He was also quizzed about just promoting the top team and no relegation but gave a very poor response about ground gradings being an issue. Surely they could make that option available in the NPL only without screwing up the rest of the pyramid.

There are a hard-working group of non- league clubs putting together a joint response to this appalling decision. The group is growing by the hour. We can only wish them every success, and offer our support.

Total entry into 2019/20 FA Cup - 736 comprising of 20 Premier League teams (who totally disrespect it anyway) - 2.72% 71 EFL Clubs - 9.65% 72 National League Clubs - 9.78% Leaving 576 Clubs from Step 3 and below - 78.26%
It would appear that they need these Clubs to keep the reputation of "The greatest cup competition in the World" and they should remember that instead of shafting so many teams whose seasons which should be making history but instead count for nothing. Absolute amateurs and will be proven hypocrites in time.

What about the 600 odd clubs who compete in the FA Vase who ply their trade in section 10 of the football pyramid, then all those who play at County level plus the Youth league's competed for by tens of 1000's of under 16's every weekend where the likes of Grant Holt, Glen Murray, Scott Carson, Dean Henderson and many more started their career. They all play under same rules and laws, serve their suspension's, pay there fines and whatever else the FA throws at them The decision made last week was totally wrong and I just hope it is contested and proven so.

mark harris chairman of the npl said in the non league paper it was the fair thing to do, to null and void the season as it was the right thing to do not to relegate the bottom teams, What a twat. most of the leagues only relegate 1 team this season and some of them are dead in the water at the bottom of the league now with no hope to avoid relegation. compare that situation with teams that have already won promotion now. How can that be fair mark harris you should resign now.

A possible compromise would be to carry this seasons points into next season. Obviously there would be s need to equalise the points based on games played (something like current ppg multiplied by lowest number of games played in a league - or highest or total games in the complete season). This way nobody gets relegated and the teams who are doing well get an advantage next season.

Anything is better than trying to pretend the season didn't exist and ignoring the achievements of teams like Reds.

According to BBC a letter signed b6 66 clubs has been sent to FA re the decision to null and void the season.
Aletter has also been sent to MPs asking them to yrger the Sports Minister to get involved with FA before Council ratification.
Wonder if the local MP Mark Jenkinson has supported Reds case and sent his letter already
