Notice today that the French Leagues have been decided on a Points per game basis.
It is becoming more and more apparent that Step 3 -7 decision was made in haste without proper thought or consultation with other FAs but dontexpect them to back down and embarrass themselves

South Shields have apparently sent another legal letter to the NPL and the FA, as to no ones surprise the response to SS' first letter contained none of the information requested.

The myth of the importance of football being one big family has well and truly exploded by the last 6 weeks, its every club looking after its own interests. Latest intention being games to be played at neutral venues with no fans as long as there is no team relegated from the Premier League.
if its good enough for the Premier League is it not good enough for the NPL
Money has been advanced or loaned not donated and yet these Top clubs will go out in close season And spend millions while the also rans will struggle to survive. As for the fans - Tough
Now is that what the F A calls integrity in the game, lets hope South Shields pursue its case against the hierarchy for the respect the minnows deserve. One hopes also the NPL Management Committee will be held to account instead of bowing to the wishes of other leagues without proper time to consult their members best interests.

As time moves on there are two things that become clearer.
First of all the NPL acted hastily and didn’t consider the scale of what they were dealing with.
Secondly there is an obvious answer to this situation, that no one seems to be discussing.
The idea that this pandemic is going to disappear and that we are all going to be able to return to normal in the summer is (and always has been) ridiculous.
Therefore the 20-21 season is not going to be able to take place in the way it normally would and football is going to be affected.
The only things clubs should be asked to do next season is to compete in friendly matches (as and when appropriate) to possibly take part in the cup competitions (if they can be safely staged in some way) and to focus on the completion of the fixtures from 19-20, that will allow closure and will maintain the integrity of the competition.
With the timelines involved that would seem a much more sensible conclusion across all divisions and should I would suggest be a line that the club were proposing.

Thursbyred, you should be in charge of the fa. that is the best solution to this mess, complete the season when its safe to do so, They are more interested in next season and its possible there may be none.

Agree fully; plan to start season Early January if not Boxing day with Cup comps then finish the League by April. The fans know best ! Interesting final tables for all leagues on www.footballwebpages.co.uk if they decide to use projected or points per games. These were published at March15th so haven't been influenced in any way. There ate also points pergame final rable. Trouble is the FA will not admit to any wrongdoings so do not expect common sense to prevail over finance

Fair enough and one I would accept now and thats without checking how it would impact on Reds.
Reds to me are deserved Champions.
Some reports suggest EFL have rejected a Null and Void Option and unlikely Play Offs just top pisitions promoted.
Scottish League seems hell bent on destroying itself with legal action being threatened. They to have adopted PPG basis
With new outbreaks of Covid 19 affecting Germany Spain and Brighton, the chances of football completing fixtures soon are receding but as ever Lremier League calls the tune - its called Cash
