The national league has just announced that it has agreed to end the current season, with promotion and relegation issues "............ under careful consideration"

Step in the FA and with the integrity of the game to uphold, will they now decide to Null and Void the Season at that level.
If they don't they are treading on difficult ground if South Shields pursue the legal route.

According to the fa it wouldn't be fair to relegate any team on the points per game method so that only leaves the null and void option.

Tbh i think its fair enough that one team is taken up to L2 to bring the Football league up to its full compliment again as its a slightly different situation. Though how that's decided will be interesting. Though it just means the National league is then 1 team short but there isnt really a solution that is going to please everyone. But all football should be null and voided for this season, Social Distancing isnt going away soon. The Spring UK tour i was on has been rearranged for October but with minimum 500 capacity venues im not even putting it in my calendar, i just cant see it happening and i can see sport being the same.
Even lower capacity football grounds which might see crowds under a couple of hundred tend to be cramped and you arent able to maintain distance in Bars/Catering/Toilets/Turnstiles

I'm no fan of barra but they got well shafted back in 72 so good luck to them. The football league are 1 team short so barra should be promoted. After all they are presently the best team in non league football.

And the answer is they should be treated as the other steps in the pyramid, otherwise it's a farce. I've absolutely no doubt South Shields lawyers are watching this very carefully

Speculation not fact. “There has been a suggestion”. Lazy journalism and a non-story.

Speculation not fact. “There has been a suggestion”. Lazy journalism and a non-story. Nearer the truth than you would imagine. There is no chance of there being a vaccine in the foreseeable future, consequently social distancing is with us for a long while. There would be no way of paying non-league football while social distance rules are in place and that would mean there is a significant chance that 'next season will be in 2021/22 at the earliest.
