I'm pleased someone has realised what we are facing. Whilst we don't begrudge anyone success none of this is down to ourselves.
Yes 6 weeks between home games is unbelievable and then you'd need to question how many of the December ones will be played if the weather turns.
To answer a couple of your questions:
Hyde were asked to bring the game forward but declined, which is their right, they are the only team available who we haven't yet played at home.
The league stipulate that postponed games must be rearranged within a timescale ( I believe it's 6 weeks but it's not my specialist area) hence the date for Macclesfield.
Believe it, we have tried to avoid this in every way possible.
You are correct that rescheduling games to midweek has a huge impact due to lower crowds whoever you are playing but to lose arguably our biggest home game to Tuesday has further implications. Macc was the first game to completely sell out the Shankly for hospitality, many of those will reschedule yes, but probably onto an available Saturday filling gaps we would usually sell later in the season anyway to others. Not many will want Tuesday night hospitality in December.
The impact of losing these two home Saturday games will definitely cost the club thousands of pounds (possibly into 5 figures across the 2 games) it's no secret.
That's off the pitch, heaven knows what impact it will have for Danny and Terry on it.
All we can ask as a board is that you wrap up warm and support us whenever you can in December. Maybe book some hospitality, have your evening meal with us before the game, we'll be running some offers I've no doubt.
We'll get through it but it may define our season in many ways, let's make it a positive response
Thanks for the update, hopefully people will buy their tickets early otherwise it could be an expensive month, it will also put the pitch under pressure and we could do without losing the money spinning new year's day game which is traditionally well attended. Disappointing that Hyde turned down the chance to play cant see what they have gained by doing so
