After a lengthy undefeated run, earning some valuable points on tough trips, Reds managed to slide on yet another banana skin with defeat at lowly Atherton Collieries. So disappointing to end our undefeated run in this manner, but we move on, and hopefully upwards.
We went to Bamber Bridge back on 28 August and suffered a 3-0 defeat. A chance for some revenge as Borough Park hosts the New Year's Day return fixture.
Reds are 14th with 31 points from 24 games
Bridge are 12th with 31 points from 23 games
Reds at home 6-3-2
Bridge away 2-5-5
Recent Bridge results:
26 Dec Bridge 2-1 Lancaster
23 Dec Bradford PA 0-3 Bridge
16 Dec Bridge 2-1 Matlock
9 Dec Hyde 2-2 Bridge
5 Dec Marine 4-1 Bridge
28 Nov Bridge 1-1 Worksop
25 Nov Radcliffe 3-2 Bridge
21 Nov Bridge 3-3 FCUM
18 Nov Whitby 2-0 Bridge
11 Nov Bridge 5-2 Basford
4 Nov Ashton 2-2 Bridge
Reds overall since 1 Nov 3-6-2

After winning only 1 from 8, Bridge have picked up recently winning their last three fixtures. However, they have only won one away match in their last six trips. That was the most recent away fixture at Bradford PA. Their only previous away win was at Atherton Collieries on 26 Sept.
Bridge have been involved in the most drawn matches in the league - ten.
Reds have the second worst defence in the league conceding 53 times. Only Atherton have conceded more at 58.
Reds are the 3rd highest scorers (behind Radcliffe 59, and Worksop 51) having scored 49 times, ten more than Bridge at 39.
Reds have now been involved in 102 goals over their 24 fixtures, the highest in the league.
Reds are 7 points from a play off berth and 14 clear of relegation.
All good things eventually do come to an end, but Reds haven't lost at home since the 2-3 defeat to Gainsborough Trinity on 21 October. Let's get the wheels back on and start 2024 with a home win.
Come on you Reds and a happy new year to all.
