After watching the post match interview after the Radcliffe game with Danny Grainger and the match goals from Radcliffe FC TV, I can only assume he is deluded.
We have the second worse defence in the league, he insists on playing around at the back, we must be an absolute dream to play against, just push up on us and your 3 - 0 up after the first 15 minutes.
But then to go on, to state that we matched Radcliffe for the remaining 75 minutes, maybe just maybe they took there foot of the gas, because the REDS were well beaten after the 15th minute.
Could we possibly concentrate on not giving a 3 goal start to the opposition and passing the ball forward towards there goal instead of f***** around at the back.

More and more teams are playing out from the back including Arsenal and Liverpool today, not that that means its everybodys cup of tea and goals are conceded most weeks by such teams. Reds problem is this season they have not had a settled back 5 and remember Reds are playing in a higher league in which the quality and pace of opponents is that much better. To lose both Sam and Goose for most of the season is also a factor. Reds at present are consolidating well in this higher league so while one may get frustrated to call Danny G deluded is OTT Do not think for one moment there is anyone better than DG to-manage the club just have patience and give him time to produce a-team that can challenge for promotion.

Hope that DG sorts out defensive frailties over the next 2 weeks and hopefully gets in at least one experienced central defender. This league is crazy and the Red's could find themselves in the play off positions if they string together decent results over the next 10 games. COYR.

No. We didn't concede three goal by passing the ball from the back. We came up against the top side in the league who are ruthless and taught us a lesson in finishing in the first 15. We missed a couple ourselves. We got on top after 30 minutes and remained there. But we lost 3-1. There's no discrace in that and it won't define our season. We are playing EXACTLY the same way as we did in 19-20, 20 and 22-23. It worked then. You will not get Danny changing this formula, we just need to give him time to build the team and for us to find our feet in this league. Radcliffe beat us in the trophy in 2020. It's took the four years to build this team since then. They also passed the ball from the back. Keep the faith and stop stupid threads like this.

Generally we haven’t been able to defend a corner or set piece all season. Some of the reasons for that have already been stated but it has nothing to do with playing out from the back

I get as frustrated as anyone with some of the tip tapping at the back but overall ive thoroughly enjoyed the reds performances while Danny has been manager, just remember how bad watching 90 minutes of Chris Willcocks teams was even when they were scraping a 1-0 victory

Also our style of play is why we can score so many goals in my opinion. We are absolutely terrible at the back but to me thats down to not having a settled Back 4 and Midfield. You cannot expect to be well drilled defensively (something we always have been with DG in charge) when you have used so many different players in half a season and had so many injuries. We dont have the players to play that direct so i think our only option is to keep playing the way we are and try and get at least a settled back 4.
Though i agree, Radcliffe were 3 up and comfortable, they noticibly backed off i dont think we would have "dominated" for 75 mins if it was 0-0. Also for all our domination their keeper had nowt to do.

For me to issues are clear as day:
1) we can't defend period!!(none of the three goals on sat where set pieces more individuals errors)
2) we rely too much on dav as an outlet when he hasn't played we have been toothless, zero pace up top and sat we try to find him continuously why teams are getting smart too by doubling up.
Agree with ash's post, settled back line has been the main issue no doubting the lads are quality players but having too many injuries or throwing loan players together hasn't helped.
That said this is a building season and I have no doubt we will be OK if we can keep and add to the Current crop.
We have the top 5 or 6 average attendance for this level and with the potential of the new stadium I think that will certainly approve along with all the great community stuff being conducted.
One area I am still struggling with though is the comms..
Camron left to go on trial at Eastbourne then never heard what happened after that?? Subsequently heard he has set up a just giving page for doing his ACL!!!
Dannen Francis return to Blackpool haven't seen anything about that on socials.

DG has my full support. Things haven't been perfect and many of the reasons for that have been mentioned. We sit in the bottom half of the table yet our attendances are as good as ever. I think that is down to our style of play and the entertaining games we usually serve up.
It is worrying how badly we defend balls into the box. Both set pieces and in open play but I'm sure Danny is working hard to improve this.
I will 2nd the comment on Comms. So many times players come and go without explanation. Injuries rarely updated, new stadium info has been hard to come by too. If the question doesn't get asked in the post match interview we don't find out.
