Good move by the club this, the step between JPL u16's straight into county league was too great.
Think because the dev team had lads from u17 age band right through alot of lads maybe didn't get the game time they needed for their development.
Only concern is what is the plan with the lads once they are too old for JPL and not ready for first team??
Is the plan then to create a reserves?

I always thought there should be a Reserve team playing in the Cumberland League, that helps over 18's and first team players coming back from injury

They only played in county cup as far as I'm aware.

They never played in the Cumberland league due to Danny not wanting them or any older players playing in the development team.

Probably makes sense , the junior premier league will be ideal development for these lads at that age then hopefully bridge that gap in their careers before stepping up another level at 18 .
