Three games to go, two of them at Borough Park. We welcome Marine back for the first time since they won the play off semi final in 2022. Marine finished 9th in their first season in this league and they are now chasing a play off berth for another promotion. It's a close chase for play offs so Marine will be very keen to add three points to their total. The less said about Reds' previous home game v Atherton Collieries the better, but a handy 3-0 victory over Maryport midweek ensures an opportunity to retain the CCC in the final against Carlisle Utd.
Reds are 15th with 41 points from 37 games Marine are 4th with 67 points from 37 games
Reds at home 7-6-5 Marine away 8-3-7
Recent Marine results: 6 April Marine 3-1 Morpeth 1 April Rylands 2-0 Marine 30 March Matlock 0-1 Marine 23 March Lancaster 0-2 Marine 16 March Marine 1-0 Guiseley 2 March Macclesfield 2-1 Marine 24 Feb Marine 4-0 Bradford PA 17 Feb Radcliffe 3-2 Marine 3 Feb Ilkeston 1-1 Marine
Reds overall since 1 Feb 3-1-7 Marine overall since 1 Feb 5-1-3
Marine have only conceded 43 goals. The 3rd best defence in the league. Marine have scored 77 goals. The 2nd best attack in the league.
The reverse fixture was played at Marine on 28 November and finished 4-4.
Hopefully the extras who turned up to the Easter Monday game will all come back.
Come on you Reds

The 4-4 was one of our many draws and was a cracker. I hope we can rediscover some of the grit we showed during that game.

Well, we didn't. And is that the end for Connor? Will he play again for reds?

Wheels havent just came off, the bus has completely crashed, maybe not the worst thing going forwards cause its proven what we all know in that we need a total rebuild for next season.
Kids on loan with no heart to play in mens football, and lads earning a good whack just seeing out their deals in cruise mode
Not the results that are annoying because we all know how low our budget is compared to some teams, its the total lack of fight or passion and just lieing down for teams who want it more

The problem is no competition for places and the players have let Danny down at times. Danny's pro(bably been given no money to stengthen the squad at the end of the season when it was needed. We need fonancial investors or more income streams. Because.....that's what far smaller clubs have done. Easier said than dome though.

Add to that a couple carrying permanent knocks and a couple that have let themselves get completely out of shape and we're lucky that we had enough points to limp to survival a couple of weeks ago, because performances, tactics and application have been crap recently. Big reset needed this summer.

It was the first time I've seen Reds this season. To say it was a disappointment is a huge understatement. In addition to the many things that have already been written, what struck me most was the number of times they played themselves into trouble trying to work the ball out of their own half. I'm no fan of route one football but I couldn't understand why they persisted with a tactic which constantly put them under pressure - and led to goals.
