Can’t get to a game until next Tuesday so hopefully the live scoreboard will be up and running, very interested to hear news of any new trialists and I’m sure a few of the development lads will be having a run out . Expect Brad Hubbold to be part of the team tonight

Not a good start to Mark Fells career with the reds ,just going off the live scoreboard but fielded a team containing all our signed on players minus Alex Mitchell, alongside young lads who have been part of the development squad in the last few years. Romeo Park who was released from Carlisle youth squad played and also ex reds keeper Jonny Jamieson played part of the game

Quite a good write up on Facebook by Fergie , he indicated that reds should have easily won, and that Galloway looks very good and Nugent played well. Still need new players in though

Disappointing result as it may be, it's good local PR to see Whitehaven lifting the Trophy as they host this event year after year.

Considering we had Little, Swinglehurst, Galloway, Nugent, Casson, Rigg, Hubbold, Symington & Eccles all on the park it has to be a very poor result. I think Mr Fell thought he would sign a few players from Lancaster but it appears they all prefer to play for Mr Wilcock..

I think Mr Fell thought he would sign a few players from Lancaster but it appears they all prefer to play for Mr Wilcock.. Like many managers before him Mark Fell is finding our location difficult to persuade the right players to commit to travel, think he definitely would have liked Sloan and Mellon to sign who have chosen to stay put as well as Carroll (Bury) and Barnes( queen of the south ). Hopefully the 2 loanees agreed and a couple of others will be here soon. Nothing won in preseason just hope for improvements week in week out until we start properly |

We looked like a team that's had a couple of sessions together getting a decent workout against a well coached, well drilled side.... Shooting boots on and we could have scored ten.
Not reading too much into it at all, but I thought Galloway and Nugent looked good and Rigg looked as fit as he's been in a long while.
