G'day everybody. Welcome to the 24/25 season. 
As always, there has been much pre season anticipation and excitement around the new campaign. A new manager. New players. New hope.
I'm sure many will recall the opening game of last season which was a 5-0 win at home over Ashton Utd.
The opening game this season sees Reds on a road trip to Guiseley. Coincidentally, our final opponents of last season when they visited Borough Park on the last day, 27 April. A 2-1 victory to Reds.
Last season we visited Guiseley on 11 November where we scored three times but went down 4-3. Despite Reds' equalising in the 58th minute to make it 3-3, Guiseley scored their 4th goal in the 70th minute and took the three points. It was Reds' 6th defeat on the road from their opening 8 away fixtures. Guiseley were on a good run at the time, making that game their 11th on the bounce without loss.
Stats at the time were:
Guiseley were 7th with 23 points from 14 games
Reds were 14th with 19 points from 14 games
Guiseley at home 4-1-2
Reds away 1-1-5
Last season's final table:
Guiseley 10th with 61 points
Reds 17th with 44 points
Guiseley at home 10-2-8
Reds away 3-5-12
