I would firstly like to congratulate Mr Fell on single handedly being able to completely nullify last seasons second top scorer in the league with his aimless hoofball tactics. Secondly could he do everyone a favour & please either deliver on all your promises or do one of either, 1) Change your tactics/ formation Or 2) Resign

Succinct and to the point. We had so much hype and promise pre season of exciting football that, I for one, was really optimistic about the new season .I am so very disappointed that the way we play is utterly crap and will continue to produce bugger all apart from dwindling support and a big fight not to get relegated after all the hard work Danny put in to get us promoted.

Neither team was fantastic last night, but with the struggles Spartans have had, it’s certainly a worry that we weren’t able to come away with anything. We started pretty well in the first 10-15 minutes without really creating a chance, and apart from the first 15-20 minutes of the second half, when they battered us and scored, the rest of the game was pretty even.
It’s certainly going to be a long, hard slog this year, but as mentioned above, there is a huge rebuild needed, and staying in the league must be the main target. The style of football played is simply irrelevant, as I’m sure there would be no complaints if we struggled and won every game 1-0.

I have absolutely no expectation of promotion and I understand the difficulties faced by every Reds manager. I don’t expect us to be brilliant every week. I don’t want anyone sacked. I am not prone to overreaction or unrealistic expectation.
It does matter to me though, how we play. It is possible to play badly and win, but eventually results follow performances. In the five home games that I have watched so far, the performances have been really poor.
I can accept that. What concerns me is the suggestion we have played well, when we really haven’t. Or even worse the idea that we will get better, by getting the ball forward more quickly, by turning the opposition defence around, by being more vocal in the changing room, by making more final third entries.
There seems to be no thought that we might improve by maintaining possession, by controlling the game, by considering tactical switches when things are clearly not working.
In a functioning team, the team is much greater than the sum of its parts. Right now, we are much, much less. I hope we improve and I am looking for signs of that improvement.

I imagine with so many new faces - including some very recently and Ambrose hasn't (I believe) been involved yet - it can take a while for things to click. It could be the manager has been given assurances that the board understand this, but it is a results business after all - and it does feel like 2024 has been a rough year for Reds. I'm sure we've all seen many other clubs over the years where that "losing mentality" gets stuck in like rot. A convincing win in the very near future would go a long way to steadying the ship.

We KNOW they don't work at this level.

Play to the strength of your players not restrict the team to one game plan
