With 12 points now on the board, the league campaign is placed on hold for two weeks. Reds were due to play Stockton this weekend, but they are still involved in the FAC. Rather than a blank weekend, Reds have arranged to play the CCC1R tie instead. That means a trip to Mirehouse AFC where the current CCC champions begin the campaign to win the trophy for a third successive season.
Mirehouse Juniors First play in the Cumberland County League with the likes of Whitehaven Miners, Cockermouth Reserves and indeed Reds Juniors.
Mirehouse season so far from 7 games in their league has returned 4-1-2 and they sit 3rd from 10, a point behind leaders Bransty.
This should be a breeze for the current CCC champions and maybe even an opportunity to give some fringe players a run out.
