With 19 minutes to go at Radcliffe we were heading for the next round of the FAC, only to snatch a disappointing 5-3 defeat from the jaws of victory. It is now imperative that we get our league season up and running with this visit to Kendal Town. This is our 4th competitive match of the season, every one of them away from home.
Kendal finished in 19th position last season, only 5 points above Pickering Town who occupied the only scheduled relegation position. Kendal amassed 21 points from their 29 matches.
Kendal have played two competitive matches this season: 19 Sept Prescot Cables 2-0 Kendal 12 Sept Kendal 0-5 Bishop Auckland (FACEPR)
Reds came from 2-0 down to manage a point at Pickering in the opening league fixture. Six teams opened their accounts with a win.
Last season we were scoring goals for fun against Kendal, here's hoping that continues and we can get our season up and running.
Come on you Reds.

* Kendal were significantly improved from last year * Very one sided.. Particularly the second half. How we didn't score is a mystery * Pitch was very bobbly which didn't help our attempts to play a fast passing game * Having said that there were worrying aspects.... Not sure about Jerome as the leader of the line, not physical or dominant and Potts was equally lightweight and ineffective * We hugely missed Symington and Tinnion. Do we know the extent of their injuries

Danny said Conor out for probably 6 weeks and Dav has a problem with his ankle, not sure how long out. Speaking to 2 players to bring in.

Defensively undoubtedly, but they offered absolutely nothing going forward. Definitely 2 points dropped as I can't see Kendal beating many teams this season.

Not sure why we have gone so direct this season it really doesn't suit us.
