Enjoyed the game yesterday and thought that the Reds played extremely well in horrible conditions. I, like other fans did not like the new strip as to me it did not reflect the team which are known as the REDS not the clarets! Who decided on this horrible colour? At least Walshie had a good birthday present with the win. Another tough match on tuesday night against Colne but all we can do is play the best football that we can and give it our best shot. Really miss Connor and Dav and when the team are up to full strength, we will any team a run for their money. So good luck on Tuesday Reds!

... With regard to the attendance 393,was this to do with the opposition not taking all their tickets, if so we probably need to tighten up on the amount given as again there were a lot of regular fans who missed out today It is a League rule that 15% of tickets (i.e. 60) are offered to the opposition, this is usually negotiated down. In City of Liverpool's case, 40 tickets were available to Purps fans. If this allocation is not taken up by 2:30pm, then they go on general sale. There were many Reds fans who didn't take up their ticket allocation on the day. For Mossley, our next home game, the away ticket allocation is 20 tickets.

The colour is based on the 1921 strip, though we didn't go with the original blue shorts!

I miss referee Ian Gittins' Paul Weller sideburns.
