Our league campaign is up and running but with 2 wins from 2 matches, we move our focus to the FA Cup.
We welcome Marine to Borough Park in the Preliminary Round in fixture number 23.
Our cracking start in the league sees us in 2nd position with 6 points and a goal difference of 4-0. Marine sit above us with a goal difference of 6-1.
Recent Marine results: 17 Aug Ramsbottom 0-3 Marine 14 Aug Newcastle Town 1-3 Marine
Marine finished the curtailed 20/21 season in 6th position with 15 points from their 7 games. Reds finished in 3rd with 19 points from 9 games.
The last time we played Marine was at home in the league on 16 Nov 2019. The game ended 0-0.
Prize money for this fixture is £1444 for the winners and £481 for the losers.
FAC1QR ties are scheduled for 4 September.
As far as I can see from the rules, drawn matches will go to a replay of extra time and then penalties, but happy for someone to confirm.
Very early in the season it may be, but suggestions already would be that this looks a good game. Marine have already won twice on the road. Here's hoping we are in the hat on Monday. Come on you Reds.

I was disappointed with the result after Tuesday night's terrific performance. The referee was truly abysmal and had no control over the game . His decision not to red card their goalie for hitting Goose and red card yet again for kicking one of our players when he was on the ground beggared belief. We were the much better side in the second half and should have won the game. Good to see Scotty back on the pitch with his great equalizer. Why wasn't Nic in the squad? We missed Dav today whom I understand had a hamstring injury. Hope we get a decent ref on Tuesday night as Marine are a dirty side. COYR
