Thought this was one of our more impressive wins. We had the wind at our backs first half but you couldnt really say that was the reason we were 4-0 up at the break. It was because we played the ball on the deck and our passing, moving and finishing was top notch. Clitheroe's only out ball was to hoof or chip it forward which basically meant they couldnt get out. Wasnt really concerned at half time that they would even it up with the wind behind them. It was impressive that despite a much stronger wind, and driving rain and hail in our faces we limited them to the 1 goal and even could have scored ourselves a few times. I think if the conditions had remained consistent through out reds would have scored a couple more in the 2nd half.
Great, composed finishes from Carroll and Allison, especially the 2nd goal. Allison played basically in midfield 2nd half and that contribution was equally as important as the 3 goals. Symington also led the line superbly into the wind and his hold up play was top notch, some neat backheals to overlapping runners.
