Our previous two league fixtures have seen us take on, and beat the team sitting top of the league. Now we host Market Drayton Town as league leaders ourselves. 4 wins from 4 games, and still not a goal conceded sees Reds proudly boasting the only 100% record in the league. After all the trauma of the past two seasons, it is a credit to all concerned at the club, and indeed the new manager to see our team in this position. Thank you to all involved.

Market Drayton Town from Shropshire previously played in the South-East division and transferred to our league for the start of this campaign. When their season was curtailed last year they were 20th of 20 teams, losing all of their 8 matches.

Since their opening day victory, they have lost 5 games on the bounce, including the 7-1 drubbing at Rams. On paper, this type of game would have been a potential banana skin. However, I have a new found confidence with Reds 2021 and am sure we will continue our unbeaten run.

Today is FAC1QR day, so there are only 3 league fixtures. Glossop North End v Newcastle Town and Trafford v Widnes. That means Reds are guaranteed to remain in top spot at 1700 Saturday.

Results suggest MDT are better at home than away so agree its set up well for Reds but just need to not get carried away
Be good to get a few more fit so that at least the manager can make changes during the match. Hopefully Casson is close to a return, having been on the bench on Monday.

Believe this is the first ever meeting between the sides?

Missing my first league game of the season this saturday, being dragged to Cornwall to engineer at a festival

Making the trip down from Glasgow for this one. On paper should be a home banker but can’t be complacent. I have to say a compliment to the club for their recent coverage, getting post match Interviews out quickly after games and the goals and highlights also the next day as well as the excellent live scoreboard/ reports for us expats

Unable to make the game but going by the live scoreboard and the managers interview sounds like we have won without playing anywhere near our best which is understandable with the current injuries and enforced changes. The manager is very cagey about the injury situation we have Hebson and liam lightfoot long term injured,Casson and Rigg must be nearly there then waiting for news on absentees Wordsworth, Tinnion,Carroll, Evangelinos, Bowman, Allison

Talking to Tinners,Scotty and Goose yesterday at the match and they said it will be at least 2 weeks before they are match fit. Poor Scottie has injured his right leg and was limping quite badly. Blimey, we don't half miss all the injured players as it was so obvious yesterday against MDT who were a very average team. Hope Dav is alright and that we put up a good fight at Trafford on Tuesday night although the lads must be knackered.

Why don't they bring Jordan Little back from Cleator Moor Celtic, he has been playing every game for them. He must be fit now.
What will be interesting is when all are players return from injury. Will we keep all the players.
