Haven't seen anything about the victory over Rams yet but apparently was a bit heated? Another win and and another valuable 3 points added to the collection. With Trafford losing at Mossley, we are now the only undefeated team in the league.
And so on to the next match. A trip to Widnes who are struggling at the bottom of the table and their midweek game at Prescot was postponed.
Widnes are 18th with 4 points from 7 games Reds are 1st with 20 points from 8 games
Widnes at home 1-0-1 Reds away 2-1-0
Recent Widnes results: 14 Sept Prescot p-p Widnes. (Floodlight failure) 11 Sept Glossop NE 0-0 Widnes 4 Sept Trafford 3-0 Widnes 30 Aug Warrington Rylands 1-0 Widnes 28 Aug Widnes 1-2 Mossley 24 Aug Kidsgrove 1-0 Widnes 17 Aug Widnes 2-0 Market Drayton Town 14 Aug Runcorn 2-0 Widnes 7 Aug Glossop NE 3-0 Widnes (FACEPR)
Widnes overall this season 1-1-6 Reds overall this season 6-3-1
Widnes are without a win in five and struggling. Their only victory, which was at home came against Market Drayton Town who are bottom of the league. They will be disappointed at the match being postponed at Prescot who are only one place above them in 17th.
Reds are top by 2 points but can be passed by Mossley and Marine who have games in hand. Another three points needed to maintain our position.
It is FAC2QR today involving Mossley and Marine amongst others, so not a full league fixture list.
Other significant matches: Trafford (6th) v Warrington Rylands (3rd)
Hopefully we have more injury returnees and can get this job done. Come on you Reds.

Just to say anyone planning on going it's strictly all ticket as Widnes operate a cashless stadium. Tickets can be obtained from their website.

Great to get the 3 points today. We had to tough it out at times due to the Widnes Man of the Match the referee.
Great performance by Riggy today.

Great to get the win 1-0, never gonna be easy on astro surface. Deserved it but tight game overall. Personally hate artificial pitches but think there will be more and more in years to come just hope we never go down that route. Rigg , Harrison, Smith and Hubbold stand outs for me today.

Yes, it wasn't the most welcoming of places was it. And after the relaxed attitude to having a pint at BP it's always a shock to go somewhere like that.
