Having lost our spot at the top of the league to Mossley for a few days, we have resumed our place at the summit thanks to the 1-3 come from behind victory at Glossop NE. Whilst we were securing our win, Mossley were losing at home to...........Warrington Rylands.
Warrington Rylands are 5th with 20 points from 10 games. Reds are 1st with 27 points from 11 games.
Warrington Rylands at home 3-0-2 Reds away 4-1-0
Recent Warrington Rylands results: 2 Oct Mossley 0-3 Warrington Rylands 25 Sept Warrington Rylands 1-4 Marine 18 Sept Trafford 0-0 Warrington Rylands 14 Sept Warrington Rylands 2-1 Kendal 11 Sept Warrington Rylands 2-3 City of Liverpool 6 Sept Market Drayton 1-3 Warrington Rylands 4 Sept Warrington Rylands 0-4 Whitby Town (FAC1QR)
Warrington Rylands since 1 Sept 3-1-3 Reds since 1 Sept 4-3-0
Despite their impressive win at Mossley Warrington Rylands have a mixed record, particularly at home. Undefeated on the road, they have lost twice at home in the league - to City of Liverpool and Marine, along with the FAC defeat to Whitby. Reds and Rylands are amongst four teams undefeated away, but of course Reds are the only team yet to be beaten at all in the league.
This is the only midweek fixture. Already 3 points clear at the top, Reds can start to pull away if we can muster another 3 points here. Come on you Reds.

Lads played well and deserved something controlling game for long spells .Tinners so unlucky hitting underside of crossbar in last few mins. Rylands are decent and will be contenders but again frustrating we have so many missing and others who aren't up to full speed yet. Surely in a few weeks our luck with injuries must change! Positives Jerome and Carrol got a few mins but obvs both a long way from full fitness and Gaul and Rigg had excellent games and looking much sharper.

Much appreciate the honest assessment of the performance at Rylands. So close to grabbing a comeback point with a threadbare squad so all is not doom and gloom
