Brighouse may be more famous for their brass band than their football team, and I think this is a first visit to Borough Park for Brighouse Town. We were very thankful to Brighouse on 8 Feb when they won 0-1 at Pontefract. The mighty Reds sit 7 points clear at the top of the league having collected maximum points in February. As an 'extra point' our goal difference is also +13 better than second place Rams, and +24 of Pontefract.
Reds are 1st with 62 points from 28 games Brighouse are 7th with 38 points from 28 games
Reds at home 11-3-0 Brighouse away 4-3-5
Recent Brighouse results: 29 Feb Pickering 0-1 Brighouse 22 Feb Brighouse 4-3 Dunston 8 Feb Pontefract 0-1 Brighouse 1 Feb Brighouse 0-2 Widnes 25 Jan Marine 2-2 Brighouse 18 Jan Brighouse 2-3 Ramsbottom 11 Jan Brighouse 2-0 Runcorn 7 Jan Ossett Utd 3-0 Brighouse (ILC2R) 4 Jan Marske 3-1 Brighouse 1 Jan Brighouse 0-4 Ossett Utd
Reds overall since 1 Jan 10-1-1 including 10 wins on the bounce Brighouse overall since 1 Jan 4-1-5
Brighouse are improved of late with 3 consecutive wins on the back of that victory at Pontefract.
Top five fixtures today: Kendal v Rams Marine v Tadcaster Ossett Utd v Marske Pontefract v Trafford
Here's hoping we make it 11 wins on the bounce. Come on you Reds.

Cant add much about Brighouse except they are the "team" that Barnstoneworth lose 8 Bloody 1 to at the beginning of the Golden Gordon, Ripping Yarns episode by Michael Palin and Terry Jones.
Useless info i know!
Hagerty F; Hagerty R, Tompkins; Noble, Carrick, Robson; Crapper, Dewhurst, McIntyre, Treadmore, Davitt
Anyway. Potentially tricky this one for reds and always get pessimistic the longer we go without defeat that we are due one. Need to win though as Rammy play Kendal who are leaking goals for fun

Really good 3 points after having been pegged back it would have been easy to panic but Reds kept pegging away with two late goals to seal victory

Another gutsy performabce from a very talented Reds team in very windy conditions. Well earned 3 points and I do not inderstand why more people do not get down to Borough park to support a very good side who play quality football which is exciting and a pleasure to watch. Good luck on Tuesday night Reds. COYR

I thought it was one of our weaker performances if I am honest. Obviously the windy conditions were tough but we have had plenty of practice with it in recent weeks. Some of our passes were directionless and there were come miscommunications in the midfield, their goal was as a result of one of these. We also risked losing our discipline in a couple of places. A different referee might have seen those minor scuffles differently. We might not have won that game without the red card.
All that said we were by far the better team across 90 minutes, we reacted well to losing the goal and our frontmen (including the subs) looked threatening throughout. Our defence was good as always they only had a couple of shots all game.
Their goalie was crap (but quite a good laugh). I have never seen so many goalkicks go directly into touch. He wasn't even trying to adapt to the wind.

It was largely a re-run of the Clitheroe game really but the crucial difference was we didnt take our chances, we had a number in the first half straight at the keeper and scored from a fluke. Agree though we were slightly below our best but thats probably because we failed to score and we started messing up. Again like the last home match the visitors scored a great goal but we did look like we were struggling a bit against the wind where we didnt last week. The sending off completely changed the game for us i suspect it would have been a draw without that.
Also Ali coming on gave us the pace we were crying out for. Im a massive Hubbold fan but cant help feeling if we had had Ali or Waterson on the left we might have got on the end of a few more balls forward. Im not criticising Brad at all though i thought he played really well in an unnatural position.
Though Casson was class in the middle all game really disrupted Brighouse and won the ball back so many times. Great finish from Scotty after a clever header from Carroll for 2-1 and great pace from Waterson and strength to out muscle the last man and set up Ali for 3-1. Possibly Red could have given a foul in the build up but think Nath was just stronger.
Just got to keep winning regardless of how we play, all that matters at this stage of the season.
Thought it was a poor crowd considering.

Assume that's the Brighouse version - well done to them for multiple camera angles and good coverage generally . However no room for the red card I see !
And I've put my back out just watching Alli's celebration.

And I've put my back out just watching Alli's celebration. Yes a BTTV production, hence the big logo and badge at the start. Not a bad video but we don't want a minute and a half of the teams coming out and pre-match huddle. Brighouse offered very little in the way of an attacking thread as this video shows.
