Reds return to action after a week off. Our previous match also occurred after a week off. Turned out well with a 0-1 victory at Mossley. Here's hoping we can enjoy the same outcome this weekend.
Colne are 11th with 21 points from 14 games Reds are 4th with 31 points from 15 games
Colne at home 2-1-2 Reds away 5-2-1
Recent Colne results: 13 Nov Colne 1-1 Tamworth (FAT1R) 3-4 pens 6 Nov Widnes 1-3 Colne 30 Oct Buxton 1-2 Colne (FAT3QR) 26 Oct Newcastle Town 5-1 Colne 23 Oct Colne 0-2 Bootle 16 Oct 1874 Northwich 1-2 Colne 9 Oct City of Liverpool 0-1 Colne (FAT2QR) 2 Oct Prescot 0-4 Colne
Colne overall since 1 Oct 5-1-2 Reds overall since 1 Oct 4-1-3
Hard to make out form from Colne's erratic record. They do have some credible results amongst the list though. Like Reds, Colne have only played twice in November.
Other significant fixtures today: Mossley (3rd) v City of Liverpool Runcorn (6th) v Warrington Rylands (2nd) Widnes v Marine (1st)
Having played only 2 league fixtures in November (including this one), this is the first of seven games scheduled up to 1 Jan 2022. The 21 points on offer could prove vital in the chase of Marine and battle against other contenders. Come on you Reds

COULD ANY REDS SUPPORTERS AT THIS GAME PLEASE COMMENT ON THE GAME AND THE SENDING OFF. TA A Comfortable 3-0 in the end, played uphill first half in drizzle and it was a bit sloppy from both sides early doors. Reds got to grips with it after about 10 mins and took the lead in slightly fortunate circumstances, a ball into the box looked to be going wide, hit the far post and bounce back accorss the Goal, Tinners alive to the rebound to stroke home. He made it 2-0 from a short corner, with a brilliant finish from the edge of the box. Reds didnt really test the keeper other than that but were always on top, winning the ball back quickly after losing it and Colne limited to long balls from the back that generally ran out of play Unfortunately a bad cut facial injury to Brad Carroll right on half time where his head got in the way of a failed overhead kick by Rigg, looked a right shiner and needed a trip to hospital. Sending off seemed to be a bit harsh, i didnt see the tackle though but it was close to me and there wasnt really any noise that suggested it was a really bad challenge and referee produced the red card in world record time, he then didnt send off Colne number 8 for a shocking challenge on Dav, which had that loud noise you hear with a bad challenge. Just a yellow Dav's third was well taken and a bit similar to his 2nd at Clitheroe, was hard to tell reds were down to 10 men really the game balance/momentum barely changed after the sending off. They hit the post late on and Jim nearly threw a routine catch into his own net, thankfully it went wide. Was a better game than Mossley, reds look a different side with Hubbold back.

On the sending off. Fair enough if the referee thought that Ruben's challenge was reckless and could have connected badly, then a red is required in the rules. However as said, their 8 did connect with Dav and the intent was their, so he should have been off as well. It's the thing that pisses off fans, refs need to be consistent. Still a very confirm win and back up to second. I didn't realize how much th slope was until the second half when I went dow to the bottom of the ground. It shows how comfortable reds were being 2 up playing up that.
