For the second time this month, Reds played away after enjoying a week off, and collected 3 points. The 0-3 at Colne has lifted us back into 2nd position behind Marine thanks to Mossley and Warrington Rylands both losing. Prescot are our first opponents at Borough Park in the league since the 2-4 defeat to Runcorn back on 23 October. Since that loss, Reds have won three on the bounce.
Reds are 2nd with 34 points from 16 games Prescot are 18th with 11 points from 17 games
Reds at home 4-2-1 Prescot away 1-1-7
Recent Prescot results: 20 Nov Prescot 0-2 Glossop North End 16 Nov Prescot 3-1 Mossley 13 Nov Warrington Rylands 7-2 Prescot 6 Nov Newcastle Town 2-1 Prescot 26 Oct Leek Town 1-1 Prescot 23 Oct Prescot 1-2 1874 Northwich 16 Oct Bootle 3-0 Prescot 12 Oct Prescot 0-1 Widnes 9 Oct Prescot 0-2 Frickley (FAT2QR) 2 Oct Prescot 0-4 Colne
Reds overall since 1 October 5-1-3 Prescot overall since 1 October 1-1-8
Prescot are having a tough season. Their 3-1 defeat of Mossley is a stand out amongst some other poor results. Their sole victory on the road was 1-2 at Kidsgrove on 25 Sept.
Reds have won three on the bounce, but our sole home defeat was last time out, albeit a few weeks ago.
On paper, with Prescot losing 8 of their last 10, this looks like a reasonably assured collection of three points. Let's hope the stats don't lie. A win will keep Reds in 2nd regardless of other results.
Other significant fixtures today: Market Drayton v Runcorn (3rd) Warrington Rylands (4th) v Ramsbottom Marine (1st) p-p Mossley (6th) (Marine in FAT)
Come on you Reds

I agree. But I think if you get two penalty's in a match someone else should take it. The goalie knew what Dav was going to do.

A game ruined by the weather, great to see Scott Allison back for a brief spell, biggest concern is the state of the ground, let's hope the council dont condemn the town end completely, sooner we get some concrete plans confirmed for a new stadium the better because I have no faith and trust in our mp and allerdale council

Unsung heroes those working behind the scenes for the benefit of others and the club. Heres to another 3 points next time out against Bootle. A win is a win whatever the score

I felt we controlled the first half very well but didn't look like scoring in the first half. Prescot set their stall out to defend the point. The game opened up a little after we scored from the penalty spot. Not a great game but I'm delighted with the 3 points.
