Updating original thread with the new date. Original info is at bottom of this post.
Rams are 16th with 36 points from 31 games
Reds are 3rd with 69 points from 30 games
Recent Rams results:
19 Mar Colne 1-0 Rams
12 Mar Rams 1-0 Prescot
5 Mar Leek 2-1 Rams
1 Mar Rams 2-0 1874 Northwich
26 Feb Glossop 3-0 Rams
Rams at home 9-1-5
Reds away 10-3-1
Rams overall since 1 Jan 3-1-7
Reds overall since 1 Jan 8-1-2
Rams have now won their last three home games. When we were due to play them they had only won one. Reds were looking for a 10th win on the bounce - which never actually eventuated - and since then our record is 1-1-1. Sounds like the victory over 10 man Trafford was not great football but we got the points. With Rylands enjoying shooting practice v Market Drayton and Marine winning on the road, Leek will be disappointed at their home defeat to 1874 Northwich. At this stage of the season it is all about the points. Come on you Reds. Need to make it two wins on the bounce.
Current top of the league using played and points
Rylands 33 74 +53
Marine 31 71 +28
Reds 30 69 +37
Leek 32 66 +31
The only significant fixture tonight is also rearranged from 19 Feb:
Marine (2nd) v Clitheroe
Original info below.............
The chasing pack kept up the pressure, all collecting three points from their rearranged matches whilst we had last weekend off. Although our lead at the top is down to 1 points, we do have a game in hand of Marine and two on Rylands. Next up, after our 14 day break, is a trip to the manager's old team of Ramsbottom. the Rams were serious challengers over recent (incomplete) seasons, but have not enjoyed the same success this season.
Rams are 15th with 30 points from 26 games
Reds are 1st with 65 points from 27 games
Rams at home 7-1-5
Reds away 10-2-1
Recent Rams results:
12 Feb Rams 3-0 Clitheroe
8 Feb Widnes 1-0 Rams
29 Jan Newcastle Town 1-1 Rams
22 Jan Rams 1-3 Runcorn
15 Jan Rams 2-3 Bootle
1 Jan Rams 1-2 Mossley
27 Dec Trafford 2-0 Rams
18 Dec Rams 1-0 City of Liverpool
11 Dec Marine 3-1 Rams
Rams overall since 1 Dec 2-1-6
Reds overall since 1 Dec 9-1-1
Rams form has been poor, but they will be buoyed by their 3-0 victory over Clitheroe in their last game. Let's hope the boss knows all the inside info and can make sure we capitalise on their weaknesses.
Other significant fixtures today:
Marine (2nd) v Clitheroe
Kendal v Rylands (3rd)
Leek (4th) v Glossop NE
Current top of the league using played and points
Reds 27 65
Marine 28 64
Rylands 29 62
Leek 27 56
Aiming...again.......after the Bootle postponement, for a tenth league win on the bounce. Come on you Reds.
