So far it seems to be the season of late goals. Some in our favour, some against. One in our favour at Bootle saw us rise up the table to a more respectable position and get our season back on track. Skem visit Borough Park for the first time in a few years. We did spend some years in the same league but they were subsequently relegated. Last season they finished 2nd to Macclesfield which meant a one game play off v Cinderford Town. Skem won 5-1 and gained promotion.
Reds are 8th with 10 points from 7 games Skem are 12th with 9 points from 7 games
Reds at home 1-0-2 Skem away 2-0-0
Recent Skem results: 17 Sept Skem 0-2 Glossop NE 14 Sept Widnes 1-1 Skem (FAT1QR) (4-2pens) 6 Sept Skem 1-4 Runcorn 29 Aug Skem 3-2 Prescot Cables 27 Aug Hanley 2-4 Skem 23 Aug Skem 0-1 Clitheroe 20 Aug Skem 1-3 Prescot (FACPR) 16 Aug City of Liverpool 1-2 Skem 13 Aug Skem 2-3 Trafford 6 Aug Skem 2-1 Padiham (FACEPR)
Reds overall 4-1-5 Skem overall 4-0-5
Although they have a 100% away record in the league, this is their first away league fixture in five outings. Reds of course have had a disappointing start to the home campaign losing 2 of 3. With both teams stuttering in their seasons so far, hard to suggest what will unfold in this one. The table is still congested with 1874 Northwich in 4th having 11 points, and Skem in 12th with 9.
Reds are now two wins on the bounce in the league. Let's make it three.
Come on you Reds

I really enjoyed today’s match. Some really good performances all over the pitch. We are still a work in progress but, on occasions the football is great to watch. Dav appeared to be unplayable today, much like Rueben was against Runcorn. I also thought Connor was excellent today.
Lots to be optimistic about, especially when you consider teams don’t travel all the way up here not to put in a shift!

Much improved performance yesterday .Whatever Danny said to them after the Bootle game seemed to have had a very positive effect. Thoroughly enjoyed the game in glorious sunshine. Well done to all the players who played some good stuff. More of the same next Saturday. COYR

Agree with both summaries, we are playing better for longer periods now and gradually starting to get there, hopefully those injured players who were all in attendance wont be far off a return, good to see Keelan leslie get a start who alongside Charlie Birch are lads who can grow into long term regulars also great to see the manager give a few minutes to young Louis Webster from the development team, great experience for the lad and gives encouragement for anyone within the reds system.
