Thanks Simon, Having the project plan, timescales and activity updates available for interested fans will be helpful and reassuring. When do you think we will be able to see them? As I understand the position, Cumberland Council have the say on what information can be released, and when, to the press/public? Cumberland Sports Village have worked closely with both clubs to get recent meetings arranged and tasks asked of both sets of Directors progressed. We await the politicians at Cumberland Council to give the go ahead for the press release, and other salient information, that I'm sure supporters of both clubs, as well as the general public, are keen to see. Thanks for the links Simon. Good to see those. II hope to see the plan, activities and timescales to back up the press release soon. That would provide real reassurance for us.

Just drove past Penrith FC ground. 4 Youth football games going on simultaneously on the pitch, car park busy, loads of parents watching and no doubt spending money on teas, coffees & bacon butties.
We have to continue to believe that will be the new Community Stadium in a couple of seasons.
Let's make sure it happens.

Where are the plans at? All we've got is a fancy website and some cartoon drawings after what? 4 years. Agree with the above post most people's appetite for the project has gone.

Rest assured Lewis, your Board of Directors appetite has never been hungrier. As per the last CSV press release the Design and Planning process is imminent as we progress through 2024. The Community Stadium will happen, the money is there to be spent on it, but for the doubters it's all too easy to be negative, as sadly most social media posts tend to be these days.

Agree that there has been a lot of negative social media comments on the stadium lately which spread doubt and concern mostly via the man formerly known as Keithstoke and his American sidekick on the workington reds news site this is why us supporters of the project are desperate for good positive news. On the flip side the Cumbria crack interview of chairman Phil Norman by John Walsh is excellent hearing, needs put on the clubs social media promptly although it does not allay my suspicion of workington town at the minute and their encourageme nt of the reds ladies to adopt their name. There is also a fantastic review of a ground hoppers visit to Saturday's game on the Facebook site non league grounds ,great photos and information which he has obtained from club sources, he is spreading the word to fellow hoppers that a visi is essential before the work starts

Here is the link to the John Walsh (Cumbria Crack) interview with the Reds Chairman prior to Saturday's match against Whitby: cumbriacrack.com/2024/01/27/workington-reds-listen-to-chairman-phil-normans-update-here/I'm not on FB, so although I've had sight of the excellent article from the Ground Hopper that came up from London last Saturday, I'm not able to post up the link. Maybe someone could copy and paste the text of that article as it really is a good read?

I read the article from the ground hopper, but didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Having read the few (pretty bland) press releases from the Stadium Company website, I have to say how sad it was to learn more in 5 minutes about the new stadium from a man who had never visited BP before, isn't a Reds supporter, but who had set off early on Saturday morning from London, for a stadium visit.
I find it embarrassing that there is far less detail on the stadium website for supporters to see for themselves, compared to that given to the Ground Hopper, and I think some questions need to be asked about how information can be allowed to trickle out in this way, when fans aren't being properly informed. It is so easy to see why supporters are becoming more frustrated. Whilst the Ground Hopper article was a good read, it actually reveals a PR disaster in the way information is provided to people like me, a season ticket holder for 30 years and a supporter for longer.

I'd appreciate a link from someone - struggling to find this on Facebook. Got it - www.facebook.com/groups/nonleague/permalink/2330859833786422/?mibextid=uJjRxr
