Yet more grandiose architect plans . . . how many have there been? I feel like using some 'Finbaar language'. All the money that has been wasted on drawings of buildings that will never be built, when it should have been used for a basic shelter on the Derwent End.

Well looks like next steps are Detailed plans submitted to Planning application. Presumably with a view to work beginning at the end of next season?

I thought getting the funds for a comprehensive design for a major project was actually good news and a step forward ? Am I missing something ? To use the Forum's new language style, it's not a finbaaring bus shelter that's being built.

Does anyone believe this current version of the new stadium will actually happen? Weve been on a constant merry go round for 10+ years now so just feels like here we go again. This sports village has been in the pipeline for 2 years and all weve reached is a point of architects coming in, so in these 2 years what has actually been happening/ progressing?

I'm sure we all hope you are right Simon, but you can understand why some people are pessimistic, the Egyptians build the pyramids of Giza quicker.

I'm sure we all hope you are right Simon, but you can understand why some people are pessimistic, the Egyptians build the pyramids of Giza quicker. In addition, its taken almost all of this governments term to get anywhere, who is to say the funding wont be pulled after the election and redistributed? since Leveling up has largely been outed as a bung to marginal tory held seats rather than some bold strategy for the future. This is my concern. Use it or lose it
