So how does that work then? From the lows of a disappointing defeat at Widnes, to a downright flogging of 6th placed Witton Albion. We may have ended their play off ambitions but more importantly have improved our own goal difference. We are now only 1 point and three goals behind Leek. Oh, and for good measure we have also locked in a finish in 2nd or 3rd place. Not a bad afternoon out in the Borough Park sunshine I believe.
It's Easter though, and the fixtures come thick and fast as the season comes to a close. A Monday trip down the M6 to Kidsgrove. Kidsgrove were chasing a place in the play offs themselves for a while, but have drifted away of late and are now too far behind to be involved.
Kidsgrove are 8th with 47 points from 35 games
Reds are 3rd with 69 points from 35 games
Kidsgrove at home 7-4-6
Reds away 11-2-4

Since their win at Mossley on 25 Feb, Kidsgrove have struggled, winning only one of their next 7 fixtures. Their season as such, has come to an early finish and they will have to settle for a mid table position. Reds on the other hand will be boosted with the five goal victory over Witton and are now right on tail of Leek Town.
Reds are battling Leek for second place.
