Thanks Steve for your commitment to Reds. It would be great tor him and the other Directors if the F A backtracked and Reds were promoted it would be a fitting reward for them sll. The new Board are seem to be given a clear run while by helped and supported by the outgoing team , just as it should be

Desperately disappointing news. While Steve was on the board everything was OK, with him gone there's a worry I have that I feel I should raise on this forum.
Back in the 1990s I published a book called "The Team beyond the Hills" by Tom Allen.
It was launched at Borough Park and got brilliant coverage on the local evening TV news, We had 1000 printed and need to sell 60% of them to make a profit.
Sales were brilliant and I spent two weeks going around local shops and newsagents in West Cumbria dropping off 'sale or return' copies.
It was Christmas time and in Whitehaven High Street there was a Christmas Shop. I went in to see if they wanted some and the chap running it said he was a Reds supporter and took £150s worth of books.
Months later he still hadn't paid or returned any unsold copies. I went to an industrial unit where the shop had it's invoice address and found out that I was one of a great many people who this chap owed money to.
I saw him many times at Borough Park over the next 20 odd years and apart from moaning to my mate and terrace buddy, Ron Scott, I said or did nothing with my philosophy that he was supporting the Reds coming to games, so let bygones be bygones.
If you have no idea what this post is about that is all well and good and just ignore it. I have posted it for any from my time and generation who might have similar knowledge and worries over the current situation.

I think plenty of people know he is a con merchant lets just hope the others on the Board keep a close eye on the Financial side of things Martin. Personally I would have liked to see Dave Bowden as Chairman.

Who is being accused of being a "Con Merchant"?
