Great end of season for United with the deciding penalty being scored by Taylor Charters, obviously learnt to keep his cool from playing for Reds on loan

Never been a fan of Carlisle but since the return of Simpson they do appear to be more helpful towards the Reds. Sending a strong team here pre season is a big financial help for reds and the loan of Nugent definitely helped us last season. Fingers crossed Carlisle in a better league can benefit reds and with both sides going up perhaps we can benefit from 1 or 2 loan players again. Congratulations CUFC.

The promotion of both Reds and Carlisle can only be a positive for the whole of cumbrian football, a big step up in level for carlisle next season so hopefully Kai Nugent will return and possibly others might become available

Wow. I don't often reply with responses to such posts anymore, but that has to be wrong on a number of levels.
1 - language. Really? You think it is appropriate to use language like that on a public forum?
2 - Wishing demise on any club, let alone our neighbours is a pretty sad way to be looking at life. If every angry fan (not really sure what you are actually angry about, by the way) wished this on a club, football would be a very small world with not many clubs left to play each other. Fair enough to not like another club, but wishing they go out of business?
3 - The worst team in football? On what evidence is that based? I would suggest given they have just won the League 2 Play Off Final, they are now a League 1 team. Upon checking the pyramid system in case I've missed anything, it would still suggest there are many levels of football being played beneath tier 3. That is likely to mean there are plenty of teams 'Worse' than Carlisle Utd. Reds are actually one of them!
The first three posts on this thread thankfully keep my faith in the human race when it gets tested by other such disappointing comments. Thank YOU..... and good afternoon.

Not a fan of carlisle but thanks to them we have a football team, half of our players come from them.

www.carlisleunited.co.uk/news/2023/may/club-retained-and-released-list/3 local (I think) lads released there in Bell, Simons (GK) and Dixon who reds should try and get down for a close look pre season. Im sure Danny will be on it. Really rate Dixon from what I've seen but has had some real bad injuries. Maybe part time footy would suit his body more. Fishburn is north east based I think but maybe Terry Mitchell can pull some strings there and talk him into giving us a try.

Interesting list for the reds that and I'm sure invites will be going out to attend training for all 3,If jim leaves we will need a second keeper so the young lad may get a chance, another on the released list is Danny Graingers ex colleague Jamie Devitt plagued by injuries of late but a class act for sure

Would like to see Sam Fishburn at BP but he had a very successful loan spell at Lancaster so can see him ending up there - or at Morpeth where he did pretty well last season. Lad is a natural goalscorer.
I think Joyce lives in Bolton where he runs a junior academy, and as for Devitt he's out injured until at least September.
