Back in the winner's circle and after trailing too. A much welcomed victory over Stafford Rangers climbing out of the drop zone. No time to rest though with a Bank Holiday trip down the M6 to Bamber Bridge.
After several years in NPLW (known previously Division One North), Bamber Bridge finished 4th in 2018. A play off semi final victory over Tadcaster, followed by a final win over Prescot Cables saw them promoted to NPL Premier.
Last season they finished 3rd with 73 points from their 42 games.
Play Off SF Bamber Bridge 1-1 Gainsborough Trinity (5-3 pens) Play Off Final Warrington Town 1-0 Bamber Bridge
Bamber Bridge are 13th with 6 points from 5 games Reds are 15th with 6 points from 5 games
Bamber Bridge at home 1-1-0 Reds away 0-0-2
Bamber Bridge results so far: 26 Aug Gainsborough 1-1 Bamber Bridge 22 Aug Marske 3-1 Bamber Bridge 19 Aug Bamber Bridge 1-1 Bradford PA 15 Aug Bamber Bridge 2-0 Hyde Utd 12 Aug Matlock 0-0 Bamber Bridge
So far, they are the draw specialists in the league with three. Undefeated after their opening three games, they have now gone three without a victory.
Hopefully Reds have gained some confidence from Saturday's victory and can collect something from this away trip.
Come on you Reds

So disappointed with this result because after Saturday's excellent result, I thought that we had turned a corner. We have to stop this rot . Feel bit depressed as Bamber Bridge were at our level and still managed to put 3 goals past us. I wait with bated breath how we will fair on Saturday.

Poor result. Poor performance. Defensively shocking first half and tbh not much better 2nd as they missed some great chances. We did have the chances to.make it 3-3 but they could have had another 3 or 4. They Probably had another gear to go to too had we scored 1 or 2.
No midweek games now for a month so let's see how we manage.

without goose, roxburgh, carroll, scotty and lewis in the starting line up we are always going to struggle also bamber bridge were in the play offs last season. still short of 3 players tho, centre half, midfield and another winger.

Fair play to Danny G he calls it and doesn't pull any punches as to what he expects from this squad.
It was never going to be easy stepping up a league but unless Reds learn and adapt quickly it will be a long hard difficult winter for all associated with Reds

Something wrong with us away from home at the moment especially. JUst not doing the basics and way too easy to score against Turned up at the ground and i would have taken a 2-0 defeat, not that Banber Bridge are any good they are a decent mid table side tops. In many ways this was worse than the morpeth game as we looked a level below Morpeth most of the match and deservedly lost 3-0 (could have been more). Yesterday i thought there was not much between the two teams at all and realistically just awful defending was the differece on our part. Is that 6 games in a row now weve conceded from a corner? oh and failing to put the ball in the net (Dav especially)
Just got to dig in and keep working, hopefully pick up wins at home and try to stop the rot away, we are not being outclassed in games by much (apart from Radcliffe) but we need adjust to this league soon as on paper Ilkeston, Morpeth and Bamaber are some of the "easier" away trips and we gave conceeded 12 goals in 3.

I only missed the Radcliffe game and we were outclassed in all of them we are a very poor side if it wasn't for dav we would be a bad side
