Another fabulous victory over FCUM making it four league wins on the bounce. Another diversion from our vastly improved league form however, moving our attention to the FA Trophy. We join the competition in the final qualifying round, along with today's opponents Hyde Utd.
Hyde Utd FC have had a rollercoast history. In 2005, they won the NPL Premier League. But only after an appeal. Farsley Celtic actually finished top, but with complications around the expunging of Spennymoor Town's results who were unable to complete their fixtures, Hyde were awarded the title and subsequent promotion. The following few years saw them finish mid table each season in the Conference North until they were wound up in the High Court in September 2009. Another appeal, another win. The decision was rescinded and they carried on as they were. In 2010, the club changed its name to Hyde FC. They won the league in 2012 and gained promotion to the Conference Premier. However, after only two seasons, they were relegated back to the Conference North. A terrible season followed and a second relegation back to the NPL Premier followed, along with a change of name back to Hyde Utd. 2016 saw another relegation to NPL Div One. Two years at that level, and then promotion back to NPL Premier in 2018.
So on to this season's FA Trophy campaign and the draw was kind to the Reds with tie #9 seeing us drawn at home to Hyde Utd.
Reds are 6th with 18 points from 10 games
Hyde are 11th with 16 points from 10 games
Reds at home in the league 5-0-1 (joint most home victories)
Hyde away in the league 2-0-3
Recent Hyde results:

12 Aug Hyde Utd 1-1 Guiseley
Reds overall this season 7-0-6
Hyde Utd overall this season 7-1-5
Only one draw in 26 combined matches, and that was Hyde Utd on day one of the season. With three league wins on the bounce, their league form has been recently improved.
As I understand it, there are no replays in FAT. No extra time either. If the tie is level after 90 minutes, then it is straight to penalties.
Winners receive £2450 and place in FAT1R, losers receive £625.
Come on you Reds
