Unfortunately there are some shenanigans going on at present via social media which seem to be trying to disrupt the club.
The people who are doing this are trying to be subtle but they make some stupid mistakes. They usually post on the Workington Reds News website. Keithjoke is at the centre of it and his y'all pal Michael. Also using the Anonymous Poster tactic. It's quite pathetic.

I thought I'd make a weekend of it over on the east coast and the Reds have not dissapointed. That is a great point on the road and for spells, they were the better team. However, I must say that Symmington is an absolute disgrace and an embarrassment to Workington AFC.. I have never witnessed a more unfounded abusive tantrum in all my years of watching the Reds. I really hope one of his teammates fills this skid mark in! We have a really good group of honest players, young and experienced, and there is no room for bad apples like him. His contribution today was minimal and he really needs to look at his own performance before he starts criticising anyone else's! what a load of crap if it was not for dav we would be up shit creak. and dav will never be embarrassment he is a loyal servent and top player so get off his case |

from the report of the match, i thought our goal was just a 5 yard tap in, that goal of joes was top drawer. what a soft pen the ref gave them.

I am coming late to this thread but after reading the comments I felt moved to comment.
I have observed Dav's frustrations when things haven't gone as well as he would have liked on the pitch and I doubt his outbursts have been particularly helpful or constructive to his team-mates. The recently departed Keelan Leslie was a regular recipient of a broadside from Dav and to my eyes didn't appear to be especially inspired by the senior player's 'observations'.
That all said I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to watch such a footballing talent showcase his skills at Borough Park. Dav has scored some of the finest goals anyone will have seen by a Reds player and strikes the ball harder and sweeter than many a lauded superstar in the Premier League.
Including last season and this season so far Dav has scored 29 goals in 55 appearances in all competitions and assisted a further 14.
They are phenomenal numbers for a wide player.
Without his contribution last season we would undoubtedly have not been promoted.
If every aspect of his footballing self was perfectly aligned he wouldn't be playing for Workington - I think we would be well advised to enjoy it whilst it lasts!
