Another three goals scored on the road......but this time without reply, saw Reds pick up a very welcome second away win at Basford United. Yet another missed penalty, but fortunately it didn't affect the result. Onwards and upwards to Whitby Town who inflicted a first home defeat on Radcliffe midweek with an 85th minute penalty. This is the fourth of five consecutive away fixtures for Reds. Whitby are 9th with 26 points from 14 games Reds are 15th with 22 points from 16 games Whitby at home 3-0-3 Reds away 2-1-6 Recent Whitby results: 21 Nov Radcliffe 0-1 Whitby 18 Nov Whitby 2-0 Bamber Bridge 11 Nov Macclesfield 2-1 Whitby 7 Nov Hyde Utd 1-2 Whitby 4 Nov Bristol Rovers 7-2 Whitby (FAC1R) 23 Oct Bradford PA 1-1 Whitby 17 Oct Whitby 3-1 Chelmsford (FAC4QRr) 14 Oct Chelmsford 2-2 Whitby (FAC4QR) 7 Oct Radcliffe 3-2 Whitby (FAT3QR) 30 Sept Whitby 1-0 Morpeth (FAC3QR) 26 Sept Whitby 4-2 Marske 23 Sept FCUM 1-1 Whitby 16 Sept Whitby 2-1 Prescot Cables (FAC2QR) 9 Sept Whitby 1-3 Rylands 1 Sept Goole Town 0-6 Whitby (FAC1QR) Whitby overall since 1 Oct 5-2-3 Reds overall since 1 Oct 3-1-5 The league is proving to be tight. Guiseley in 6th have 29 points. Bamber Bridge in 17th have 20 points. Whitby have played the fewest matches so far in the league and sit only 3 points outside the play offs. They have won their last five on the bounce at home, and are undefeated at home since the loss to Rylands on 9 Sept. Once again, another difficult trip for Reds but hopefully taking some confidence along from the victory last Saturday. Come on you Reds PS - If anybody is making a weekend of it in Whitby, can recommend www.thesandbeckwhitby.co.uk/ run by Dave and Kay. Recently renovated.

I thought I'd make a weekend of it over on the east coast and the Reds have not dissapointed. That is a great point on the road and for spells, they were the better team.
However, I must say that Symmington is an absolute disgrace and an embarrassment to Workington AFC.. I have never witnessed a more unfounded abusive tantrum in all my years of watching the Reds. I really hope one of his teammates fills this skid mark in!
We have a really good group of honest players, young and experienced, and there is no room for bad apples like him.
His contribution today was minimal and he really needs to look at his own performance before he starts criticising anyone else's!

Can't comment on Dav's behaviour because I wasn't there, but there is too much responsibility on his shoulders to score goals. Other players with the exception of Rigg should step up to the plate and chip in.

Absolute drivel. Dav has been and still is a fantastic player for Reds and is one of the best players in the division. Yes he can be abrasive and demands excellence from others but that's because he sets high standards and cares about the club.
I'd hate to think where we would be without him.
PS At least have the courtesy to spell his name correctly.

Decent players do not scream and shout like an adolescent having a childish tantrum. I'm confident our club is an advocate of Men's health and Men's wellbeing. I really do hope someone of authority has taken note of this discussion. Oh and bye the way, hecwas bang average today.

It up to his team mates and he coaching staff to pull him up if THEY think he crossed a line. Not you.

That's just Dav . He's a great character and lad. I very much doubt any players take what he shouts at them to heart. Our best player and lucky to have him

Dav has always had a bit of a rant when things arent going right but you cant fault his passion and will to win,on his day as good as anyone in the league and someone with that bit extra Great point today as well, no easy games in this league and another tough one on Tuesday

How very strange that someone would come onto this forum to criticise Dav.
Our most important attacking player and a big personality who has excellent ability and a huge enthusiasm for the game.
Reds supporters know who Dav is and we are grateful for what he brings as a player and a person.
Today was a very creditable point. We are on the up and have a young team and a fabulous manager, such nonsense is best ignored.

Such a strange position to come out and slate our best player. Dav has been superb for this club for years and I have no doubts he could be playing at a much higher level if there were opportunities nearby. Danny has commented in recent interviews about how much Dav adds to the team both on and off the pitch. This is men's football. Semi professional football. If players aren't doing their job it's up to the leaders in the team to put rocket up their backsides from time to time. At the end of the day the lads are paid to go out and win football games. It's not a charity kick around

Been on this forum for years & can't ever recall Servop7 contributing on any other topic. Begs the question, Is this keyboard warrior a Reds fan or just someone trying to stir things up ??
