Midfield and attack worked so hard today so no wonder a few were blowing towards the end. Riggy was man of the match today but Jordan Little wasn't far behind, a remarkable effort considering he hasn't played fullback so far this season. The new centre back grew in stature has game progressed and looks a decent acquisition.

Night and day compared to Tuesday.
Four at the back, attacking players in their natural positions, pressing as a group, playing 10 yards further up the pitch and most notably, actually creating chances from open play!
Still not completely sold on this more direct style of play, but I don't mind if we can press, work in packs and play off it like today.
I thought Rigg and Little were excellent and Kamara made a real difference in stopping them playing (until he tired).
Now let's never see 3 at the back ever again and kick on!

Any news on why the ref was threatening to abandon the game? If it’s as simple as some “foul language” from the crowd aimed at players I dont think footballs the right sport for the fella and he’d be better placed officiating a game of bowls

So the new recruits to the Livescoreboard Forum were nowhere to be seen yesterday. Interesting but proves Martins point that it may well have been someone with a grudge against Manager or Club.
I was optimistic we would have turned the corner against Brig but just maybe now !

Must have got lost in translation and the announcement over the tannoy was then for foul language.... 99% of us shout and swear at football, that's a given. Some folk could do with toning down the ableist shit though. I assume that's what the liner was complaining about.

I’ve just listened to Mark Fells interview and thought it was a disappointing response. It was a perfect opportunity to acknowledge some of the frustrations and concerns that a significant portion of the supporters have had and probably still have. Instead he chose to dismiss it all as laughable and in the process probably further alienate those who have been critical.
His favoured system is 3-5-2. It’s no coincidence that he’s under massive pressure and there are calls for his head, we switch to a 4-3-3 and instantly look better for it.
I know I’ll get shot down on here for saying it but a little bit of humility goes along way and could have started to heal some of the wounds of recent weeks. Instead he came over as cocky and arrogant.

The whole team contributed yesterday, efe is definitely better at CB than in midfield IMO. Norris also did very well and once he's up to match speed will be a good signing for us. Shame we have a break from the league now but hopefully 2 wins in 2 different cup comps please.

Would not happen at old trafford

I don't think they were calling their own player a 'f*cking sp*cker" right in earshot of the liner....

Instead he came over as cocky and arrogant. Yeah think I agree but to be fair it's probably the 1st time I've thought one of his interviews didn't go great. He usually speaks very well. Maybe worth remembering this is probably the biggest job Mark has had to date with quite a large fan base that can be very vocal especially online. He will be learning as he goes. From Marks points of view he will be looking at the league table and our positions last season and wondering why the fans have been so critical. He probably doesn't realise how many fans loved the DG style of football and in a strange way how acceptable a lot of our dropped points were last season. So many times you came away from BP with 1 or 0 points but deserved all 3. Mark will just see a side that was in the bottom half all season, shipped a tonne of goals and played very poorly for the 5 or 6 games he witnessed.

The post match interview was a perfect opportunity to take pleasure in an improved team performance, to set out the expectations moving forward and to even admit some mistakes and the lessons learnt.
That would have impressed me massively and would have gone a long way to getting me back on board.
The way the manager chose instead to make it about individuals and the criticism that he has received, was frankly rather embarrassing.
I can only hope that his response was an emotional one and that when he has the time to sit and reflect, he realises that he needs everyone pulling in the same direction.

The stick that mark fell has taken from all these so called reds fans, he has every right to speak his mind. FFS let the guy get on with managing our club.
