3 April Table as it stands, played, points and GD:
Rylands 35 80 +56 Reds 33 76 +40 Marine 34 73 +26 Leek 34 72 +34
Reds are currently 4 points in front of Leek. A game in hand and better GD of +6. Leek play at Marine on the final day. Reds are currently 3 points in front of Marine. A game in hand and better GD of +14. That really equals an extra point. Marine host Leek on final day. Reds are currently 4 points adrift of Rylands. 2 games in hand but trailing on GD by 16 which equals another point behind really. Reds host Rylands on Sat 9 April.
Maximum points achievable:
Rylands 89 but have to visit Reds Reds 91 but host Rylands and visit Marine Marine 85 but host Reds and Leek Leek 84 but have to visit Marine
Given they are already behind a little on points & GD, and have to play each other, it will be tough for Marine and Leek to win the league from here. It really comes down to Reds v Rylands as I see it. If we beat them, a minor slip elsewhere could be absorbed. Fail to beat them and any slip will likely be costly.

Looks spot on that Peter. I predicted in a tweet in feb that 90 points was the winning margin. In reality thats slightly wrong its 89. Any team that can't hit 89 now it think you can rule out of the title race.
For reds the task is clear we need 2 wins and 1 draw from the next three. It doesn't not actually matter in which order.
Though beating rylands does mean I think we could also get away with 2 draws in the games in hand.
Assuming we win the last 2 that is

Agree too but Reds seem to up their game against the better sides.
What worries me are the last two games which are all about pride for the two already relegated sides, is Reds have struggled against such teams this season.
Certainly Reds in a great position to be in and Rylands will come out looking to win as they must if Reds bring the points back from Bootle.

So many variables but still in the Reds hands, assuming we beat Bootle and the two bottom Teams we have to make sure by beating either Marine or Warrington and drawing the other, which will give us 89 pts. Warrington's best with this scenario will be 87pts. Come on you Reds you can do it. I hope Hubbold is fit to return to midfield and let's not just rely on Dav to score goals.

If we don't beat Kendal and Market Drayton we don't deserve to win the league
They] both average conceding more than 2.5 goals per game over the whole season.

Table as at 10 April, played, points and GD
Rylands 36 81 +56 Reds 35 80 +44
Max points achievable: Rylands 87 Reds 89
Reds remaining fixtures: 16 April Marine v Reds. Home record 12-1-4. 3rd best home record in the league after Rylands and Reds. 18 April Reds v Kendal. Away record 1-1-16 23 April Market Drayton v Reds. Home record 2-3-12
Rylands remaining fixtures: 18 April 1874 Northwich (11th) v Rylands. Home record 5-3-10. This is the worst outside the bottom three. 23 April Rylands v Bootle (7th). Away record 8-1-8. Rylands have the best home record in the league at 15-1-2
Reds played Marine three times in a week back in August: 21 Aug Reds 1-1 Marine FACPR - Marine 45', Scott Allison 49' 24 Aug Marine 2-1 Reds FACPRr - Marine 7', Evangelinos 59', Marine 105' 28 Aug Reds 1-0 Marine - Carroll 3'
It would be fair to say that our season comes down to the Marine fixture. Win and we will likely win the league. Draw and we will need to improve our GD probably by at least 14 in the final 2 matches. Lose and we lose control of our own destiny and will be relying on an unlikely Rylands slip up.

Cant look at Marine's season home record. its irrelevant now, they are bang out of form. They have only won 3 home games since the start of the year against Kendal, Market Drayton and Northwich. In fact since Christmas they have registered just 8 goals in 8 games at home, sounds ok, but 7 of them came in the 2 games vs the bottom 2. So all of their draws and defeats in your 12-1-4 have come in the last 8 games, prior to that they had a perfect home record
I believe they have been suffering a crippling Injury list of late and they had Kyle Hayde recalled to tranmere recently who had been one of their main starters all season

Probably a good time to play Marine…playoff preparation will be top of their list, poor form and a few injuries thrown in…. Isn’t the winner takes all scenario it looked a few weeks back… Fans a little disgruntled to boot…
