Really enjoyed that last night. The fight and will to make a challenge was there again. Something I felt was missing earlier on in the season. Someone mentioned earlier on here about how 5 draws is worse than 2 wins and 3 losses. While mathematically true, I don't think we get a performance like last night without our little unbeaten run.
I thought Brad Hubbold was superb, Jordan little similar (talk about thrown it at the deep end) but Jim Atkinson MOM for me. Ref gave absolutely everything to Macclesfield which always seems to be the case when we play them! Hopefully the injuries aren't too bad and we go again Saturday. COYR!

Pleased with that performance, first clean sheet for a long time and some big performances accross the park against a very good team .Thought Brookwell, Little and Hubbold were fantastic but Atkinson's save was top drawer. Missed Riggs hold up play but overall another good point in a division where every point is a battle. As for attendance watch ,no savage, niasse out injured but the presence of Ella Toone has inspired the young lionesses of the area, never seen as many young kids at a midweek game must have put an extra 100 or so on the gate ,903 is towards where we should be aiming though, lets hope same on Saturday Agree with this and just wanted to emphasise the fantastic patience and attitude of Ella. She has attended the last 2 games and seemed to have time and a word for the countless directors, supporters and young players who wanted to engage with her. It must take so much of her time and energy and she does it with humility and generosity.

Gusty performance from the lads last night against an average side! We would have won it if Riggy had been playing. Another tough game on Saturday . Fingers crossed for 3 points! By the way, who the hell is Ella?

Whoever said nil nil draws were boring games? They will have to think again after last night, where two teams provided excellent entertainment and quality football in difficult gusty conditions. There were times, especially right at the start and towards the end, when we were hanging on a bit, but both sides had chances to win the game and a draw was probably the fairest result. It was good to hear the views of both members of the management team, and hopefully that can continue. I'm not going to single anyone out in what was a full on team performance. Something has certainly changed, for the better, since the manager's 'chat' with the team after the Gainsborough match. I'm sure we would have lost this game earlier in the season. There does seem much more fight and determination in the way we are currently playing. Long may it continue.

No need for the sarcasm the club is trying to grow in the community, please look at the clubs Facebook post about the girls development sides attracting kids from accross the county each bringing paying parents maybe potential sponsors etc, as ive said before there is an unbelievable amount of people in the area who arent aware we are playing an anyone who helps in even a small way is more than welcome

Really enjoyable game. As others have already said, we grew into it after a bit of a rocky start. Fantastic attitude, solid at the back, Jim made a couple of great saves and Brad Hubbold was excellent again.
Their fitness at the end and our lack of a striker told, otherwise I thought we really could have turned them over (Although credit where it's due, Kane Drummond is a fantastic player at this level).
Oh and to second the post above, the work the club do away from the 1st team is something we should be proud of and Ella Toone was good enough to give up her time and make a lot of kids' nights

A football superstar?? 🙄
Whilst not suggesting we enter into a Joey Barton/Alex Scott type debate, Ella Toone is very much a football superstar amongst all those girls and ladies that play the beautiful game.
Anyone at BP on Tuesday night couldn't help to see the delight on the faces of our young girls academy players meeting one of their hero's from the current England Lionesses Team.

If we are not a Community Club for BOTH sexes - what are we about?
The more publicity Reds get the better and it doesn't have to be through the media but by someone telling their friend about their experience at BP

If you want to put her in the same bracket as Pele, Maradona, Best, Zidane, Messi, Ronaldo etc etc, the true superstars of football then you're getting a bit carried away by this ridiculous hype. This laughable state of affairs to placate the woke generation was summed up by a female goalkeeper winning BBC SPOTY - a goalkeeper whose only claim to fame as far as I can see is screaming 'F*** Off' in a losing final. Yet she was determined to be more worthy of the accolade than the likes of Stuart Broad & Frankie Dettori, whilst Josh Green didn't even make the final 6. I'm sure Ms Toone, Ms Earps etc are good at what they do, but football superstars? Do me a favour.

(I think we all now know which of these two more reflects your point of view on the state of the game?) In the eye's of the Reds Juniors U9's at Tuesday match, Dav Symington & Jim Atkinson are football superstars. To have a current England Lioness take quite a bit of her time at Tuesday night's match to make of Workington AFC Academy Girls is worthy of her being called a football superstar, in more than my humble opinion. If you'd like to arrange for any of your named ' true' football superstars to attend a match at Borough Park, take time to talk to the boys and girls from our local grassroots Teams and be available for umpteen photos and selfies with anyone that wants to take them, the Directors would be very appreciative.
